I bought this case in 2018 after reading many reviews, and it has since protected my iPhone 8 (which is water resistant for ~30 mins but not waterproof, e.g. rated IP67) from multiple falls on pavement, concrete, etc., AND most recently, from 40 mins in our washer on the allergy/steam cycle, before I realized the clunking sound coming from the washer was my missing phone! The allergy cycle uses extreme heat and steam to kill any dust mites - e.g. the washer wouldn't even unlock until it had some time to cool down. When I pulled my phone out and tried to turn it on, I got a warning that the phone was too hot to turn on (it was warm/hot to the touch). So I put it in the freezer for a couple minutes, and it turned on good as new. (Also, the washer must have washed off the dust off my phone speaker because it was much louder and visibly much cleaner after the washer!) This is awesome but the main reason I'm not buying it again is that it comes with a screen protector attached, which I had removed (broke it off) long ago due to reviews that it wasn't as good as the ones you apply separately (and felt more plasticky than tempered glass). When I put the case on my phone that had a separate screen protector, the fit seemed too tight, which I think stressed the phone and case. In my photos you can see cracks on the case on the edges that appeared shortly after use (was able to live with it, but ideally wouldn't have the cracks), and also the back of the phone is cracked. Of course that could have been from 4 years of use with multiple drops and falls and washing machine, but I think having an extra layer of glass wedged between the case and phone didn't help. I see in other reviews they removed the plastic protector more carefully - if you remove all the plastic, you may not have this issue, but I still had some spots where layers of the plastic were still glued to the case. Still amazed and grateful that this case no doubt protected my phone from 4 yrs of falls and the steam cycle. Trying my luck next with the other highly rated brand case. ... show more

I bought this cover in April 2020 when my son was 13 and got his first phone. It's now December 2022, and there isn't the first crack or break in my now-15 year old's SAME phone. Over 2 1/2 years and this thing is rock solid. I'm now buying one for my next son to have on his first phone.

5 Month Update: I am DONE with this case. The clear screen cover is SO scratched I can't use it. I am adding a photo of how insanely scratched up this cover is. What is it scratched from???? My left thumb scrolling. Not a drop off a moving truck. Not any kind of damage from a saw, from daily use. Hundreds of tiny scratches that now make it impossible to read that portion of my screen...I bought a new screen protector (just put it on) and the difference in how sensitive the screen is with my new protector vs. this scratched up built in one is amazing. So now I need a new cell phone case. 5 months is a record for me. Oh, and for the record, I do not have long nails, gel nails, or fake nails. This is from 5 months of casual adult use--not mega teen use. The plastic surround casings are fine, the screen part is impossible to use at this point. I usually have my cases break on me, they let dust in, they stretch when I have to remove it for cleaning, hinges or sliding wallet bits break, charging ports get loose--all that is totally cool with me. A protective screen so scratched from thumb scrolling you can't see the text under it at 5 months???? Umm...I really need the screen to be clear--that is sort of the point of a phone. Original Review: I use my phone 24/7. Actually I don't use it, but I have to have it on me, so losing it isn't ideal. Nor is dropping it and getting yet another screen protector shattered. Due to poor grip and sensation in my fingertips, I drop my phone ALL THE TIME. My poor phone falls at least twice a day. And generally a few more times during the week thanks to the Loki cat who exists purely to test gravity by knocking all objects he finds on to the floor. My phone falls on to cement while I am working, a hard vintage tile bathroom floor, and quite often the street as I am walking the dog. Did I mention I drop my phone a lot? I also have a habit of losing my phone. This ties in nicely with dropping it. I spend many minutes each week hoping I didn't just toss it in the washing machine or lose it outside someplace while refilling birdfeeders. Good Times folks! However, I HAVE to have my phone with me. As I am alone during the day (ignoring all the furry cats and Thor the Wonder dog) I can't be without my phone. Blah blah blah--medical condition ever reoccurs, I need to have a way to call for help. My phone is on/near me 24/7. Spouse bought me this case without any guidance from me. Never in a billion light years would I have chosen this case. It is not sparkly, decorative, or honestly very cute. It is rugged, functional, and seemingly indestructible. It is everything he knew I needed, but would never justify spending the money to get. It is perfect for me and my needs. I adore everything I hated about it when I received it. How annoying to be so wrong! :) Grip: As mentioned, I drop stuff. Like..anything and everything. On the edges of this case are little slanted grooves that are SO perfect for my tiny hand to hold. Seems like a small detail, but this is seriously one of the best things about this entire case. While I can't always tell you without looking if I am touching the case, the times I have dropped it (out of the clip) is MUCH lower! It has a softer more rubberized feel that my fingertips cling to, I can pick it up off the counter even with nails. Picking up my older case was sometimes an issue if my hands were wet from dishes, cleaning, etc. CASE FEATURES: On the back of the case are small raised rubbery dots that prevent the back of the case from hitting the floor when dropped. So if Loki sweeps it off the counter because he didnt get treats in a timely manner, and it falls straight down, the dots break the fall. They aren't very noticeable at all, but they definitely add to the protection, and help me pick it up. The case looks like it is hovering a tiny bit off a surface, making it SO much easier for me to get a hold of and lift. FIT: Snug as a Bug! There are no gaps once I got the case on. I took my time and used my own lens cleaning wipe, cleaned off the inside and outside of the case, and then followed the directions to put it all together. The charging cord fits nicely in the opening, and ALL buttons are aligned. It feels solid, exactly like the much more expensive brand of case I used to buy years ago when I was younger and shopping in the phone store like a fool. The BEST part of this case is the CLIP. Which is what made me less than thrilled when I first got this case. I truly thought my Spouse bought a dud and that I had something to toss in the recycling bin. However, I am in love with this clip! I like to have Youtube videos playing on my phone as I go through the day, just background noise as I clean the house or work in the warehouse. I have tiny dollar store photo frames all over the place I use to stand my phone in while I work. This clip works as a stand! No more propping my phone against a wall and hoping it doesnt move, or carrying stands from room to room. It is awesome! CLIP: I can't believe how much I use the clip. I did not want to be the 80's dude with a mega huge belt clip and a phone the size of a brick--to say I was resistant to using this case is an understatement. However there is only so many times you can forget your phone on the dryer, on the back deck, or resort to using a "Call my missing phone" locator app before you agree to try a new system. I have clipped my phone to a thick dog walking jacket, a slippery thin weight work out top, a heavy bath robe, and numerous sweatshirts. It had not fallen off once! I have a rule that all sweatshirts must have a kangaroo pocket for my phone, or my sweaters/sweatpants must have deep pockets. Because I CAN"T be without a phone. So my wardrobe MUST help me keep a phone on me. Umm...this has quite literally changed my daily life. I can wear any combination of clothes now, regardless of pockets. Because of a clip on phone case. Another thing I have to say that I love about this case is how easy it is to open the clip. Not only do I drop things, but I have pretty poor fine motor skills when I am not LOOKING at my fingers. I also struggle to open jars, hold a heavy hair dryer, use a drill. But I can open this clip with either hand without any hand pain or struggle. And it HOLDS tight to the edge of my shirt. Like a tiny alligator, this clings and stays closed, yet is easy to open. I wish my chip clips were half this effective! I never wanted an industrial strength case with a fancy clip/stand. I am a minimal, save your pennies, I can do without type person. But this solves my grip strength issues. using a stand, constantly misplacing it, and dropping it without damaging my phone. I am delighted with this case, and Spouse is already jealous and rethinking his current case after seeing how awesome my new one is! ... show more

When my iPhone 6s battery finally lost it's ability to hold a charge it was time for a new one so I opted for the iPhone se and a new case. These cases fit perfect, look great, and function as designed. My old case is still in great shape after years of use, so buying a new one for the new phone was a no brainer. I finally decided to try a Unicorn Beetle because my Otterbox Defender just wasn’t fitting snuggly anymore. My nephew has had a SUPCASE on his iPad for 5 YEARS and it’s still going strong! I figured for the price it was worth a shot. So far, so good! Fit is snug. Screen protector has totally melded seamlessly with the phone. It’s a nice snug fit all around and so much lighter than my Otterbox. Love the blue color. Definitely makes it easy to keep track of my phone. The belt clip/stand is nice too, but I opted to use my old popsocket. I’ve only had it on for a week but I’m feeling optimistic that this case is going to be a keeper! I don’t know how durable it will be for my drip prone phone, so for now I’ll leave it at 4 stars. ... show more

I had this case for over a year now. It is getting a bit pink because of the wear. But no crack yet anywhere which is the main goal of the case anyway. I have been accidentally dropping it so many times on pavement, tile, carpet, you name it, and it always survived.
