Fellow UB fans: The thumbprint reader issue CAN be resolved - I was able to use my fingernail to carefully scrape off the thumbprint sticker circle from the INNER side of the cover. Do this against a smooth, hard surface, like a clean countertop. I immediately wiped the sticky residue with hand sanitizer and a soft shirt for a couple minutes (I did all of this at the phone store when activating, otherwise I would have used rubbing alcohol). The phone tech wiped it over with a lens cloth, and it looks clean, like the sticker was never there! Next, I went back into Settings > Security > Face & Fingerprint Unlock to re-scan my thumb print. The thumb reader is now working great! This is my third UB case, and seems to be as well made as the others, if not better. While I have only had this model for a couple days, I had my prior UB case on my older Pixel for 3.5 years. It sustained many drops, and that phone is still in excellent condition, so I am confident that this will protect my Pixel 7 just as well! (Also, the lock button and charging cover on the UB case for my Pixel 3 lasted for three years before they finally broke off, but I kept using the case with the lock button taped on. So again I expect long-lasting durability of the material for this Pixel 7 case.) The little kick stand on the case is a nice bonus for setting it up horizontally on a table. I'm not able to stand it up vertically with the built-in stand for this model, though. (I have a UB case for my iPad Pro as well, and the stand on that one has held up with regular use for about nine months so far. I expect that this one will also be of similar durability.) I love that these cases are still fairly sleek for a rugged phone case. While the case is thick, and the Pixel 7 is wider than Pixel 3, I can still hold it one-handed with petite hands. However, using two hands is much more comfortable most of the time with this larger phone size and case. Also, the value for the money is great! Whether you are new to Unicorn Beetle cases or looking into it for the first time, I highly recommend this case for your Google Pixel 7! ... show more

This case worked for a pixel seven and it does the job. I've dropped it multiple times and it still saves my phone everytime. I like the red color and the clip is essential for me during work. I would recommend. It is durable.

It has been a nice case. Protects my phone well from drops. The built in screen protector has been wonderful. The kick stand broke after 7 months of sporadic use. It has two little plastic pieces that slide along a track. Pretty flimsy design for a kick stand. But, I would definitely buy again. Primary job is to protect my phone and it has definitely done that. EDIT: After two years, phone has survived many drops and still looks like new. The screen protector has been great but now the surface of the screen protector is becoming deformed and is forming cracks and textures that can not be cleaned off. Again the phone itself is perfect.     • Just as good as for my previous phone
This is my third Unicorn Beetle case. I had two over the lifetime of my Galaxy 7 (which was 5+ years), I broke the clip spring during the last year and bought another to replace it. This one is built just as solidly and looks just as good on the phone. I bought a white phone and this dark green accented case, and with the case off, I have a bright phone (as if I'll EVER use the phone without the case......), and with the case on, cannot even tell the original phone color as it covers all the white parts (what I was hoping for). I agree with one or more other users that the volume keys are useless when the phone is in the holster. I hadn't noticed, but generally I am using some wireless adapter to play any music or using a headset for conversations, so the external device would always have it's own volume control and I don't think that will be an issue for me, but if you like to use the phone's volume controls while holstered, look elsewhere. Also, I am a complete naysayer when it comes to "screen protectors", I've never broken or scratched the screen on any of my phones without one, and given that this Gorilla Glass or whatever is probably much more scratch-resistant than any "screen protector" material out there, I kind of doubt these "protectors" really do much to protect it.....more likely get scratched themselves and need to be removed eventually. Imuch prefer to use the bare screen and it feels nicer under the fingers - the first thing I did with this and my previous case was to remove (forcibly, if necessary) the screen protector and discard it. Obviously, I have absolutely NO problem with the fingerprint reader or any other touch-screen functions! Compared to my Galaxy S7 case, this one seems a little harder to get the phone in and out of the holster. That might only be that that this case is new and still really tight, I can't say for sure. But it sure is holding onto the phone, if you value that security then be prepared to struggle a little more than usual to put the phone in and out of the holster (at least when it is new, I haven't had it for more than a few days yet). ... show more

It performs pretty well. I got one for a new phone last year and after several drops, slides, and bangs against objects the phone looks as new as the day I got it. The case has also held up well, the materials are certainly durable enough. The only problem is the stand: it's a bit flimsy and will eventually break with regular use.
