I have a another set from a big expensive name brand. I bought they as a backup. However, I tend to reach for these over the name brand paddles. They are good quality, weighted properly, and easy to put together and break down. Add a few handle grips and these are A+ for the price.

Easy to put together, and easy to use. We own three paddleboard, and this ore works with all three of our paddleboards. The double-sided ore is easier to use then the single ore - where you have to switch sides. My husband and I each have a little kiddo on our boards, with the single ore a kid was always getting brushed by the ore. This double sided ore eliminates that issue. ... show more

I lost the paddle to my brand new blow-up SUP immediately this summer (left it leaning on a tree and was gone a few hours later). Had plans to SUP again the next morning so had to go to REI for replacement - Expensive mistake! I bought the cheapest paddle they had for over $100 & it was too tall for me at its lowest SUP-style setting. I ordered this after and LOVE it. Shorter options for shorter folks & just so darn pretty ;-). Extra bonus, the 3 sections in the SUP mode break down short enough to fit in the SUP backpack - helping prevent another left-behind loss! I have not had to test the float function, but it is light so I imagine it would give you at least a minute or two to swim back to the board and paddle to it before filling with water! 10/10 would buy again ... show more

I thought this was a decent paddle, not great, not horrible. No it's straight up horrible. Paddled with it lightly for about two hours when it suddenly bent at a 90 degree angle and then snapped apart. Leaving me with a very sharp small paddle. Obviously it's aluminum it can't handle tons of strain. But this was minimal strain lightly paddling on a calm lake. This should never happen. Thankfully I was able to return the product, but don't waste your time buying it. ... show more
