These posts are perfect for that purpose. These fiberglass posts are quite thick and strong. They are black and have a black cap that protects the top of the post where you might drive it in. The 100 clips that are included in the package appear to be stainless steel, and work really well. You squeeze them together and release them where you want, and they stay in place nicely. The posts are 42 inches long so if you drive them in about 6 inches you would have a 36 inch high fence, which is ok for electric. I would mention a couple of things to keep in mind during installation. First, the clips will only go on the posts from the bottom (sharp end) because the cap is too large to allow them to slip over. So, you have to decide how many you want on each post, and install them before driving in to the ground. Second, there is a possibility that livestock could pull the wire away from the clips, so putting them on the inside of the fence will prevent that from happening. Overall this is a great set of fence posts and clips for electric fencing, and I am very pleased with this purchase. I would highly recommend this product.

I actually got these to better stabilize some chicken wire fencing and they work great. -These came in awfully packaged, the end of the box was open and the poles were sliding out. I mean this could be on the shipping but I have seen other posts where they put reinforcements (especially on the pointed end side) of the package to prevent this. -Luckily I did not get these with the intention of using the “included” clips because no clips were in the package. Perhaps they fell out in shipping but again they should remedy that. -The posts themselves are pretty flexible yet very sturdy and strong. -With the tips being sharp they go into the ground fairly easily. When they did need a bit of persuasion I was able to carefully hammer them in. -I wove them through chicken wire inorder to keep it more steady so the chickens stopped using the loose bottom to “extend” their range. -They have held up to decent wind and rain so far without budging, even when a few things blew up against the fence they were woven in. As of right now I would have to say, as long as you don’t count on the clips these are working great. If these last longer than similar priced plastic step in post I get from the feed supply store I would say they are a good buy. We will have to check in after a few months to see how they hold up long term.
