Even with the stakes, it blew around in strong winds. I have it right up against the house, but it still didn't do well. the plastic rips easily as well. The ties didn't work as one was inside the plastic but the other was outside, so I had to puncture it to zip tie it to the structure.

I decided to try this cloche as a replacement for our cold frame, to start spring greens. It comes in pieces, most of which are marked. The cross bars are metal. The connectors are sturdy plastic, mostly marked with identification letters. It took me about an hour to assemble. I carried it to the location in my garden where I wanted it. It is not heavy but larger than I thought it would be. Pulled on the plastic tarp. This is where some problems occurred. Although I stretched the tarp, the ties to the frame were either missing or in the wrong locations. Also, the first night, the wind blew it several feet away from where I put it. I resituated the whole cloche back to the garden area. Had to use stakes for the corners to keep it where it was supposed to be. Then, since the ties were not in the correct positions, I had to make my own ties. I wanted it stretched taunt so it wouldn't pool water. It still does that somewhat but not as bad as it could be. Adding my own ties meant that I had to poke holes in the plastic which is unfortunate. However, I think it's positioned correctly now. In fairness to the directions, it says to place the cloche up against a building, probably to prevent it from blowing away. Well, that is not what I wanted to use it for. The plastic is pretty heavy and clear. And it does have zippered sections that can be undone so you can reach in to cultivate or plant or water the plants. This is a good idea but with some issues. I have planted some spring greens so will keep you apprised if there are other problems. Looking forward to grown my own salad.

The plastic ripped as soon as we went to put it on the frame. The zipper broke as soon as we tried to unzip.

This is a great little starter greenhouse but definitely meant for mild weather. But pretty much every one of the greenhouses I've used like this have been that way. So if you have bad weather coming, this won't hold up to it. However it does a great job of starting seeds and helping keep keeping the cooler nights of spring from damaging plants.

I got this on a whim to have somewhere for my wife to put her seeds that aren't in the house. I plan to have a green house built for her but in the meantime this mini lean-to works extremely well. We live in a small valley that tends to get very windy, I upgraded the stakes to some screw in ground stakes and even on a very windy day the greenhouse stayed put! She put this in a South-West facing area against a retaining wall. I recommend this greenhouse going up against a structure, not only for extra warmth it will provide but it will also give you somewhere else to add support for stability on windy days. Overall I recommend this to anyone who needs a small greenhouse for their seeds or medium sized plants!

I've only recently started getting into pop-up greenhouses, and I've used several so far. None have served the same function as this mini greenhouse. While most are fully equipped walk-in greenhouses with shelving and the like, this is much more suited, I find, to plants that remain planted year-round, but might require a little more attention during certain seasons or weather conditions. The greenhouse is larger than it appears, hitting almost 9ft in length and covering quite a lot of ground. The rods are metal, and while light, lend themselves well to supporting hosing for misters. I'm especially fond of this greenhouse, and recommend it to anyone looking for something to help out with more delicate plants.
