With having limited space, this hammock fits quite nicely on my balcony in Japan. The neutral colors are great, especially the tan/brown color that matches the decking. The 60 inch width is more than enough room and is spacious for one person. If you worried about the cocoon effect, it will most certainly do that. I like both spreader bar hammocks and this "Brazilian" style, but usually each hammock enthusiast has a preference. As for durability, it seems like it will hold up, but time will be the judge of this. I really like that the rope ends that connect to the metal hooks have a metal piece on it. This will help ensure that the rope doesn't fray on the ends. The reason I give this four stars is for two reasons: 1. The hammock doesn't scream quality. It is just a decent hammock for the cost and will do the trick while I'm on tour in Japan for a couple years. 2. I have a 136 inch long hammock stand. This was a foot and half too short and way less than 132" long as advertised. However, I knew this would be the case and bought some chains so that I could stretch the hammock. Now that the hammock has stretched after some quality time in it, it almost doesn't need the chains at all. My point is...these chains should be included or some insight on how to stretch the hammock should be provided. ... show more

I bought this hammock on a lightning deal for just $25. I think at that price, it is a great deal. I already have another hammock made a parachute material, now I can save that for camping trips, because it is lighter to carry. This one is good for leaving on the balcony. The cotton does take a little longer to dry, but we have an umbrella over it. One of the other reviewers did comment on wondering if the durability could be trusted if one of the ropes frayed – I think it will be OK, I've had these kinds of Brazilian hammocks in the past, and they last. Individual ropes can sometimes break, but there are so many that you would only have to worry if 10 broke.My one comment is that I really hate the color patterns that the manufacturer leaves us with. Most of them are gaudy, so I chose the beige and gray striped desert variety, which I'm not in love with either. However, beggars can't be choosers, and in the $20 range for brazillian cotton on a double hammock, you can't beat the price. It also fit my space saving frame, the only thing that fits on my tiny balcony. I am really glad that I bought it. Here is a pic of my puppy lounging around with me in it – though we have had two adults sitting on it and it did support the weight. ... show more

I bought a Vivere hammock + stand in 2012 and its been stored outside in its case for a few years (oops!). When I got it out this year, I ripped the OLD hammock fabric and determined after 8 years, it was time to replace it. I searched high and low to find a reasonably priced replacement, and I got this one for around $30. It was tough to find, because this is a longer one that fits perfectly with my long Vivere (slightly rusted now!) frame. I would only have one person in this (its like a cocoon) because I think the fabric wouldn't hold two well. I'm 125lb and it feels like it supports my weight well, but I'm still careful when readjusting or getting out of the hammock so it won't strain the fabric too much. Would buy again for this frame at this price! ... show more

Good quality for the money. The fabric is soft and comfortable. The knots and rope parts are tied well. The sewing along the seams is a bit rough. There were two metal rings to provide additional support to each of the loops where you hang the hammock that fell out the first day, but I don't think you really need them. All in all, I think it is durable and will last, although we have never left it outside in the rain, so I can't comment on how it handles varying weather conditions. The colors and the fabric look great out in the yard. I would definitely purchase it again. ... show more
