  • Awesome treadmill with incline and folding
Style: Smart
I've had this treadmill for a week and it's worked great both for inclined walks and level running. My partner is around 180 lbs and has longer legs than I do and is able to comfortably run on this track. The assembly was easyish. I did it by myself. Warning: they say not to remove the strap around the treadmill until you are close to done with assembly. I accidentally cut it because the note not to cut it was tucked under the strap and not visible until I cut it. But it didn't really impact assembly. The front of the treadmill is on the opposite side from where the console is when you unwrap it. The treadmill comes in a folded position, so if you are trying to put it in place before assembly, you'll want the side opposite of the console facing wherever you want the front of the treadmill to face (the wall, a tv, etc.). You need space for the allen wrench to fit perpendicular to the treadmill so you can secure the side bolts. The allen wrench that comes with the set is 3.25 inches long (both sides) so this is the clearance you need on either side of the treadmill to assemble the bolts at the front. My treadmill was being assembled in a tight space so I had to hand tighten the bolts on one side, use the allen wrench to secure them on the other side, then move the treadmill so I had clearance on the first side to tighten the bolts. The safety guard that you remove in the first step is metal. For some reason I got the impression it was cardboard and thought I'd removed it with the packaging. It looks like a valuable piece of the equipment but it's truly bolted there just temporarily for the sake of shipping. All in all, it took me probably an hour to assemble in an awkwardly tight space, including time to move it myself to the right spot. I'm about 125 lbs and not super strong, so it's not a very heavy treadmill. My last treadmill I never would have been able to move myself. I love this thing. It looks smallish (narrow) but I feel I have more than enough room to run and it feels sturdy when I run. There is a tiny amount of jiggling when you run, unlike the solid stillness of a commercial treadmill, but it doesn't wiggle in an unsettling or dramatic way. I have it set on a foam treadmill mat in a cement garage. I did a lot of research on treadmills and ultimately selected this one for the incline capabilities, the size of the track, the fact that you can fold it up, the smallish footprint, the low price, and the good reviews. I'm super happy with it. I don't have as much time to drive to my gym anymore and this gets me moving every day. I'm super impressed with the quality for the price. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • A great budget-friendly treadmill! Buy it!
Style: Classic
This is a great treadmill. I read many reviews and spent a long time to decide on an under $500 treadmill. This hasn't disappointed and it's been about a month. I use this daily at a full sprint and regular walking/jogging as well. Like most treadmills in this price range, the belt width was something i didn't want to compromise on. I was weary after experiencing much wider belts at the gym, but this belt size didn't impact my running or workout. The quality is nice, it's heavy and well grounded. The panel is plastic and definitely not 'high-end' but unless you're expecting this to wow people with design, it's not even an issue. Easy to fold up and a cool slow release to fold back down. Just measure out your room and understand this will need a corner to hang out in as it doesn't fold completely down to hide under a bed or anything like that. Pros: -Easy to assemble. The box was a bit heavy - so have some help or get a dolly to help roll it around. It was well packed and even with a rough looking tear in the cardboard, the treadmill was nicely protected with foam, plastic wrap and more cardboard. Took maybe 30min to set it up. - The folding makes it easy to store in a corner and not take up space when not using. It's in my home office and doesn't crowd the room at all. - Simplicity. You turn it on and just go. The speed programs are nice, but lets be real, you're gonna be adjusting the speed manually most of the time. The screen is well lit, bright and has the basic information you need. Time..speed, distance..calories burnt etc.. - The speed controls are also on the right handle which is very convenient. Also, on the left handle, a basic Start/Stop option. I rarely touch the actual panel in the front to adjust speed or turn on. - The belt seems to be strong and it is easy enough to lubricate. I had to tighten the belt after feeling like it was slipping at a full sprint, but with the allen tool they provided, it was a very easy and simple fix. There are plenty of videos on youtube that will show you how to properly do this, as well as the user guide. - It runs quiet but once you start running it's a bit loud. But you're running on a metal board...so get headphones or turn on music. - You don't need to have some monthly subscription to actually use it. It is a basic treadmill. Start it. Run on it. Get fit. Find training videos on youtube.. they're free and effective. Cons: - The heart rate monitor doesn't seem to be accurate at all. I don't really care much about this especially since i use a fit bit. Again, it's not the point. You use this to run on. Keep your expectations within your price range. - Manual incline - but again, not a deal breaker. If you're wanting automatic/advanced inclines, you won't be spending under $500. - Handles have rough ends and sometimes while in a sprint, my hands/arms might graze them. It's not hard plastic, but just rough padding ends i guess. A bit annoying but nothing serious. - The two cupholders are a bit shallow, but they easily hold a typical bottle of water in place even when running on it. - It has an area for you place a tablet on the main panel, but it's not that large. I place my phone there though with no issues. Overall, it's a great entry level treadmill to have around your office or home gym. I enjoy walking on it, doing some HIIT exercises on it and jogging. I will always prefer real running, but this is a great option for cold weather and rainy days. The price is great, and it delivers a solid option to get into shape. Whether you choose this or another, don't get analysis paralysis! Get it ordered and on the way so you can hit those fitness goals! ... show more

  • Good treadmill for the money
Style: Classic
I had it for over two weeks now. Not sure how this will feel for a tall person. I'm 5,8" and the treadmill didn't feel small at all. It was easy to set up (30 minutes) and motor is quiet and belt feel smooth when you get up to speed. Two things bothers me. One is the heart rate sensor which is very slow in reading my heart rat. Second thing is the way to treadmill stops. When I push stop, instead of coming to a gradual stop it kind of ends abruptly. The cup holder could be larger as well. So far I'm satisfied. ... show more
