While this does provide some privacy, there's still quite a bit of light that comes through and if someone was really trying to see what was going on behind it, they certainly would be able to see through it. Since this was much larger than what I actually needed, I triple layered it across my patio fence to provide a completely blacked out view. The material seems sturdy and would certainly good up in all types of weather. It comes with plenty of zip ties to secure to the fence. If you're looking for something that will provide 100% privacy I would suggest layering it or purchase something with a bit more density. ... show more

I got this to put up a "psychological" barrier between us and the neighbor's annoying dog. I'm hoping he'll fall for it, because he seems to bark less when he can't see us. I'm going for an "out of sight out of mind" kind of deal. (it's yet another experiment in our quest to SHUT HIM UP) Our fence is old and has lots of holes and gaps and he just goes CRAZY and gets super aggressive when we're out there. He darts from hole to gap to hole trying to get at us. So I'm hoping this will help with the problem. I haven't installed it yet but out of the package it seems nice and well made and comes with zip ties and has grommets. Overall pleased so far. Hope it works for what I intend, but even if it doesn't it will be nice to sort of visually clean up the old fence and make it look better. A win-win either way. ... show more

The Sunny Guard 4'x50' Privacy Screen (Black) works well for my purposes. I have a great mountain view on most sides of my house but it really bugs me when I look out my back door and can see other structures that have sprouted up on the hillside beyond my property. They are a distance away from my home but I really feel that they are an eyesore. This 50' long, 4' high privacy screen is just the answer I was seeking. I can still see the mountain views in the background but when I look out my back door I no longer see the eyesore in the foreground! It was relatively easy to figure out a way to install the screen as a fence and tie it down in enough places that it can hold up in windy conditions. ... show more
