This rack fits perfectly into my small, home gym area. When shopping for a multi-use half rack, I had very specific needs in order for it to work in the space I had. It needed to fit tightly against the wall, it needed to have weight storage, and it needed to have a pull-up bar. This squat rack not only sits against the wall, but allows for full size olympic plates to be stored in two convenient spots in the back of the rack, out of the way and without bumping the wall it sits against. The vertical storage for two olympic bars was an added bonus, as were the detachable dip bars. I have since added a detachable landmine for t-bar rows (which works great), and I’m considering buying a pulley for lat pull downs and cable curls. I have to say I am very happy with this product. It was not difficult to put together.I like the versatility and ease of setup of the strength training machine. it has a very smooth pulley system and all cables and slides move smoothly.

I gotta say, I'm absolutely thrilled with the SunHome Power Cage Squat Rack! This thing is a beast, and it's got me pumped up about my workouts like never before. It's a solid 5 stars from me, and here's why: First off, assembly was a breeze. I'm not exactly a DIY expert, but the instructions were clear, and all the necessary parts were included. It didn't take me forever to put together, which is a major plus in my book. Once it was all set up, I was blown away by how sturdy this rack is. I mean, it feels like it could withstand anything I throw at it. I'm no lightweight, and I can go all-in on my squats and bench presses without worrying about stability. It's like a rock – no wobbling, no shaking. Just what you want in a piece of gym equipment. But the real magic is in the versatility. This rack is like a Swiss Army knife for workouts. I can do squats, bench presses, pull-ups, and even use it for some creative exercises I've come up with. The adjustable safety bars and J-hooks make it easy to set up for different exercises, and the pull-up bar is a nice touch for upper body work. Hole sizes are 5/8-inch for fronts (for J-Cups) and 9/8-inch for the sides (dip extension). The dimensions of the cage bars are 15/8-inch x 15/8-inch (almost, but not quite 2-inches). The holes on the cage uprights are 2-inches apart. The cage feels great, and it is very solid. I would have easily given this product 5-stars if the J-Hooks and the safety spotters were better (more on that later) and the bars were 2-inches x 2-inches instead. And here are some bad things about the cage. 1. The J-Hooks and the safety spotters are kind of garbage. You can see in my photos that they have a foam padding on top that is attached to the metal using some kind of industrial double-sided tape. Mines were taped on pretty badly -- they were horribly misaligned -- and so I had to take them off to fix them, stripping the tape a little bit. 2. The cage uprights are 15/8-inch by 15/8-inch, which is almost 2-inches. This is kind of a non-standard size, so if you want to order attachments for this, they may be a little lopsided and loose because almost all attachments are for 2-inch x 2-inch bars. 3. The J-cups, or J-hooks are kind of long. Compared to the J-cup I ordered separately -- which you can see in one of my pictures for comparison -- the red one that comes with this cage is much longer, so when doing something like bench pressing, you do have to push your bench out a little farther. When you do this, you really cut it close to the end of the safety bars at the bottom of the bench press because the safety bars aren't long enough. I would definitely order better, shorter J-cups. And here are some special notes to consider. 1. You can reverse the L and R side of the rear bars so that the Olympic plate holders face the inside. I'm only going to store light weights on them -- 10, 5, 2.5, and micro pound weights -- and they don't get in the way. This is great if you are in a crowded space and can't have those holder bars extending outwards. 2. The plate holders are held by only one bolt, so I would not stack 45-pound plates on them. 3. If you are going to replace the J-Hooks and safety spotters, you will need to know the dimensions are 5/8-inch holes on a 15/8-inch x 15/8-inch bar. I ordered some new J-Hooks that were 1/2-inch holes for 2-inch x 2-inch bars, and while they fit, they are a tad bit loose. If you can't find hooks that support 15/8-inch bars, 2-inch ones will work, but do not get ones for 1/2-inch holes -- you must get ones for 5/8-inch holes or else the cups will wobble a little bit. ... show more

I got this for my husband for his gym area. It took a bit to put together but works well. I like that it helps keep things a bit tidier. It’s sturdy enough and we haven’t had any issues so far. It’s used a lot by my husband and his friends so it seems to be pretty durable too.

This is a heavy duty piece of equipment. VERY sturdy. Easy to assemble, just make sure you are where you want it to be because it's very heavy. Nice variety of uses, a must have for your in home workout area.

I was pretty satisfied with the gym rack frame. It is a little over 7 ft tall and almost 4 ft wide, measuring from side frame to side frame. Sturdy and durable material. Assembly with one person was just shy of 2 hours. All parts included, easy assembly, simple to read instructions. Tools included did the job. Hardware matched just fine. Nice red and white color scheme which is universal. Frame only and bench not included. Three and a half foot bench suitable. Very versatile piece of equipment. Options and opportunity to add to this very easily. Comes with but not limited to barbell bar supports, Dip exercise support, Chinning exercise support, exercise muscle chart, warming up and cooling down information, and pull up bar. Even at full tightening of hardware, the pull-up bar does bend a little under 170 lb of weight bearing. However still maintains durability of structure and stability of exercise.
