This inverter / charger is amazing. I power a large food truck with mine being fed by eight 51.2V / 100AH batteries, and I regularly run it at 7-10kW output. Eight months in, no issues. My only complaints are that the AC input and output terminals should be larger. It is extremely difficult to feed stiff 6 gauge wire into them. They are barely large enough to accommodate 6 gauge - which is the minimum size that should be used in the application. Also, be sure to check the internal grounding lug near the terminals. I discovered that this was only finger tight on mine. This would have caused issues if had I not noticed it. In my application, it runs the following: a 240V hot dog roller grill, a commercial microwave, two large rooftop air conditioning units, a bun warmer, a warming cabinet, a induction cooktop, two refrigerators and a stand-up freezer, and all indoor and outdoor lighting and electronics - simultaneously if I need to. It's a beast!

This is my fifth order of inverter from SUNGOLDPOWER . I ordered a 4K and 6K inverter from them back in 2020. After a few communications with the supporting staffs, they are up running, as expected. And they are still working. Now, I am upgrading to 2ea 10K and 1ea 5K inverters. Again, after a few communication with the support staffs. My inverters are working the way that I expected ! The supporting staff (Penny) is very responsive and effective ! I am happy to do business with them. And I am looking forward to be continue using their products. BTW, I purchased some more PV panels from them too, I am just need some more time to install all of them.

In short, the AC in/out terminals are not designed to accommodate AWG 6 wires (as required for ~50A power, per the manual). I tried everything—clampers, ferrules, lugs—but nothing worked with the default terminals. I eventually managed to connect it. It’s currently working with batteries and the kitchen outlet breaker, and seems to be working fine. Aside from that, it’s an okay inverter.

I was happy to receive this item and had no issues installing it. One of the first things I ran in am issue with was the SOC not reporting or displaying correctly. After having it for a little over month it stopped charging. I attempted to contact tech support twice once for the soc and once for the charging. No help was available and the only response I received from the company was to change the battery voltage to correct the soc. When I asked where do I do that at which setting. Which btw was my first question and when I got that answer I told them apparently you don't know your product. I am still waiting for a reply. I called the company when it stopped charging my batteries and am still waiting on a call back. I contacted Amazon and they authorized a return of the item with a refund of the purchase price minus $400. I will be contacting Amazon again to find out why and will update this review. All I can say is if you choose to purchase this item that you have better luck then I did. I really don't like to write reviews that are negative but I was left with no other choices. Contacted Amazon customer service and found out they are charging me a $370 restocking fee on an item that stopped working. So I paid $1690 + $160.78 tax = $1850 and because the item stop working i am only getting a refund for $1480.78. So you make your choice before purchasing this item. You have been warned!

After a lot of research, I chose this 10KW inverter/charge controller for my first solar system and I'm very happy that I did. It has been running flawlessly for 5 months now. Currently I have 3.6KW PV array on 1 of the 2 PV channels and 21 KWHrs of LIFEPO4 battery capacity. The output of inverter is wired to my home panel via multiple single circuit transfer switches. I'm a retired controls engineer with a small business at home so this type system works great for me. I can selectively power any circuit in my home except a 13KW tankless water heater. I installed the system primarily for grid down backup but I've used it so far to shave around 75% off my electric bill. Had a minor issue during during startup and contacted Sungold. They responded promptly but I had already found problem was insufficient battery for a large inverter and corrected. Sunny also contacted me recently to follow up on problem. I highly recommend.
