I have used this set of Sunex screwdrivers a number of times now with various sized screws and they have done a great job. The screwdrivers are all holding up well and are not showing any signs of wear, even when used with well worn, almost completely stripped screws. The magnetic heads are also a nice feature to help keep the screws in place when starting or removing them. The kit also comes with a nice looking organizer, though that does take up a lot of room in your toolbox. All of the drawers in my tool box are unfortunately too full to use the organizer, so it is put away until I can upgrade to a larger box. Overall, I am pleased with these screwdrivers and would recommend them.

This is a very quality set of screwdrivers and a good value for the money. They are comfortable in the hand when using them and the screwdriver tips are solid and work great. I had a Phillips screw the other day with Loctite on it and my Craftsman screwdriver kept slipping in the head. I tried this screwdriver and was easily able to break it free. It is a good range of sizes of screwdrivers for the average DIYer. I would buy another set if I needed screwdrivers.

PROS: Screwdrivers are from a well established manufacturer with a proven lifetime warranty, hand grips are ergonomic to fit well in your hand and make it easy to torque the screw, this is a nice selection of screwdrivers that you'll use, heads appear to be non-slip, size is printed on the shaft. CONS: The handgrips on the stubby screwdrivers are too short, the eva foam is not two-color. This screwdriver set replaced a Sunex 1120SS set. The heads on this set appear to fit and grip screws better than the higher price set. A tremendous improvement over the 1120SS set is the storage locations. These screwdrivers are logically arranged in the included tray - Phillips in one location and Slotted in the other. Sunex fixed the illogical placement in the 1120SS set. If you have the 1120SS set, you will be pleased with this new set. However, the red and black color of the 1120SS has been replaced with a single black color.

Sometimes Sunex has some great value tools; this set isn't one of them. The price seems inexpensive for what appears, from photos, to be a nice set with a Kaizen foam tray. But consider: • The drivers themselves are fairly low-end, with a very basic handle made from a tacky black rubber that feels more like a job-lot screwdriver than a professional tool. The design isn't BAD, but it's not up to the standards of other frugal brands like Harbor Freight ICON, Tekton, etc., never mind a premium screwdriver like Vessel or Wera. • The sizes are a bit strange. Most people don't have a use for a #4 Phillips. The set seems generally weighted toward the "pry driver" sizes. • The matte finish arrives already looking pock-marked. This may be cosmetic, or it may be a sign of poor longevity, it's hard to tell. It's not attractive. • The Kaizen foam tray was designed by someone who doesn't work with tools. There's no slots allowing you to pick up the tool by its intended gripping surface, the handle; you have to grab them by the shaft or tip and lever them out of the foam. That's pretty annoying, especially since the tray is a large part of this set's appeal. • The lifetime warranty, the terms of which are only available on Sunex's website and not included on the box label or inside the package, have a ton of exclusions compared to competing brands. Harbor Freight is typically liberal about warranty exchanges, and you can usually visit the store and get a replacement same-day. Tekton doesn't have such exclusions: if you possess the tool and it's broken, they'll replace it. • It's not a great value: the Harbor Freight ICON 8-piece set 70309 costs the same as this Sunex set, and while it has two fewer pieces, it has more USEFUL pieces for most DIYers and mechanics, a good tray that takes up much less drawer space, and substantially better handles. Or you can get the Harbor Freight QUINN 15-piece set for almost half the price; you still won't get the oddball #4 Phillips but you'll get more useful drivers of substantially the same quality, though you'll have to bring your own organizer. • If you know, you know: These are Phillips, not JIS. If your tool chest has an unused 14-inch drawer and you really need a #4 Phillips and a slotted pry-driver that you won't feel bad about losing, I suppose the Sunex set may make sense for you. For everyone else, you can do better.
