I bought this specifically for the obvious purpose, 12 point fasteners. I needed this for removing flywheel bolts where a 3/8 chrome socket couldn't. Unfortunately due to their spacing the socket is actually too wide to fit. I don't have a lathe to turn it down, but I do have a bench grinder. After some "adjustment" it is ugly and missing the corrosion treatment now, but can fit into tighter places. Luckily these are economical enough that I don't sweat the modifications. However I doubt Sunex would ever warranty a socket that I reduced the diameter. ... show more

Sunex has a reputation for quality at a reasonable price. This socket set seems like it will live up to that and I'll not wear them out. This case has plastic latches while the 6 point box is metal, slight disappointment. Despite that I'm thrilled with the storage boxes. In sand and dust they keep the sockets cleaner and are easier to use than socket rails in my tool bag. Sizes are better marked than other brands, stamped in and printed on. ... show more

Never had a problem with any of my other Sunex tools. Handles very well with all jobs that i need to do and comes in a nice molded case for field work which i love. The only think i can think that could be made better is the size number on the sockets. The gold color they use becomes harder to read for well-used sockets. ... show more
