Nicely made and very handy set of flare nut style crowfoot wrenches. When you are in a tight spot this set can save the day by allowing access to limited wrenching situations. Only discovered these wrenches when I was having trouble disconnecting a power steering rack that was buried into the firewall of a vehicle. Limited access but using a ratchet with a long extension with this style wrench I was done in a flash. I like this style better than the typical open end ones that are not as robust and can tend to strip nuts on fluid lines. These are the real deal from a company that makes value oriented safe tools. Very nice set to have for when you need it some day.

Normally, I would tell you the last place to buy an "affordable" tool is on flare nut wrenches. You're already using a flare nut wrench because of the increased risk of rounding and the painful repairs that come with that, so you should buy the very best flare nut wrenches you can, one of those times when paying the truck premium is actually worth it. I needed a single 9/16" crows foot flare nut wrench and looked at those choices. One wrench was costing the same as this entire kit to get from either S-K, Snap-On, or the others, for the set, it was 10 times the cost. I'm down for buying American tools when they make financial sense, but this is a case where they didn't. I looked at it as worst case scenario, I cut the line and use a full socket if I absolutely have to. I don't have any issues with Taiwan-made tools, which these are, as Taiwan generally produces a decent product at an affordable price. I didn't have to. I'm happy to say that these flare nut crows feet have tight tolerances, a nice finish, and did the very specific job I needed them for, removing a brake line that hadn't been removed in about 47 years. Buy these with confidence.

The right tool for the job.

I got these to remove A.I.R. tubes from the exhaust manifolds on my 96 Corvette. They worked effortlessly and I had the tubing out in no time. These crowfoot wrenches are also essential for hard-to-reach oxygen sensors and other nuts and bolts. The price and quality are great and the aggravation they save you is absolutely worth it. For those building a toolset, these are a must.

They are no snap-on set, but they do get the job done as long as you dont push them past their limit. The 3/8 drive fails before the wrench does, so they should minimize rounding mistakes in the larger nuts. These are a great tools for the DIY mechanic at minimal cost.

Does $20 bucks sound like too much to you? For some of the cheap stuff out there in tool land, some Chinese (but not all) that would be too much. I needed crowfoot flare nut wrenches to remove 30 year old hydraulic lines from my tractor. Need to replace a couple leaky ones. Had a heck of a time getting a couple off. Naturally a typical wrench only touches 2 sides. Plus they were hard to get to. I had a couple flare nut wrench’s but couldn’t get them in there. Crows foot flare wrenches to the rescue. So get this. Turns out the really tough ones turn out to be bigger than the largest in this set. So am I returning these? NO WAY. Not only are they great on the smaller one but the FIT AND FINISH WITH F THIS SET IS GREAT. I don’t give 5 star reviews. I have a ton for f tools. Way too much really. I’m giving this one 5 stars because the overall feeling and finish of this set so exceeded my expectations I am happy as a clam in cold water. THANKS Sunex

Sunex is high quality and well worth the price.

I needed to work on brake lines and an old 1973 F-350. I have the money for something 10 times more expensive than this (Snap-on tools version), but I would rather save money and get the same or better quality for 10 cents on the dollar. Also with these I found that the finish is slightly rougher on Sunex as compared to the same tool in Snap-on brand, but things like that do not affect the work that a tool is capable of doing (and as I am not a pretty boy, a pretty finish does not appeal to me in the least). Lastly, I think it is good to note that these are cheap enough that I was able to grind the sides down (on the outside of a couple of my crows feet) to get in places that I would not normally be able to access. I would be afraid of doing the same thing to a set that was 10 times more expensive (like a Snap-on set of crows feet).

Worked great!
Style: 3/8" Fractional Crowfoot Wrench Set
Needed to remove power steering hoses and I couldn't swing a regular flare wrench.. I even had to use a cheater pipe on the ratchet with a long extention to the crow foot, and it worked beautifully.. the flared sides did not splay out under load, and the fittings came off without rounding.
