Yes they are made in China, so let's get that out of the way. And by the way, so is Craftsman, Irwin, Milwaukee, Kobalt, Husky and I'm sure most others. in fact, Snap-On while largely still made in the US, they have factories all over the world including China. While a lot of cheap junk comes out of China, so do decent quality tools. There is a difference between cheap tools and inexpensive tools, At $50 for the set of 5 pliers, this is certainly an inexpensive set of tools, but not cheap. You would pay more for a similar set from any of the brands mentioned above and multiples of that for Snap On. This set comes in a nice roll up pouch. The pliers have a nice weight and are made very well. No sharp edges, smooth finish and smooth operation. The grips are large and comfortable and I really like the slip joint pliers with the angled jaws. This is a great set for the professional as well as the guy or gal just starting out. Quality tools at an affordable price. And they have a lifetime warranty to boot. Without a doubt, definitely worth your hard earned money. Buy these and the next time the Snap-On truck rolls into the shop you can feel good about saving a ton of money. ... show more

One casting defect on my slip joints but overall a really good set. Lasted me a few years until I sold them and replaced with something new and shiny. I’m a motor mechanic so put these to work every day and they held up well. Highly recommended.

As a mechanic who is always adding to my personal and professional toolbox, I have used many different brands of tools. In my opinion, Sunex is one of the better alternatives to the big name brand tools. This set of pliers is a very high quality, and all five pieces work well. The groove joints in them operate smoothly and allow me to adjust them easily. Another perk of this set to me is the included storage bag. There are rings in the top that allow me to hang the bag if I need the set with me nearby. Otherwise, I can hang them on the wall at home, or the side of the toolbox at work. I am proud to say that if you are a young mechanic starting out, these would be a good set of pliers to buy. If you are also in need of a set for at home and want something that you know will last, these are a great option. ... show more

These are medium quality tools – the kind you won’t feel heartbroken about losing or ruining but they get the job done. They come with grease on them that needs to be cleaned off. I used mineral spirits on a rag to wipe them down.

This bundle of special purpose pliers by Sunex is a real bargain.... Sunex tools are high quality & are well designed ….these are tools that are going to be on your workbench decades from now. The pliers comes in a nice fold up starage/carry bundle with designated retaining pouches for each plier.... You get 5 assorted special purpose pliers, each one designed with specific purpose in mind.... The pliers come with lightly oiled within the slotted adjustment grooves & wrapped in plastic... The grips have a nice feel & good ergonomic design... the hard rubber has a bit of "tackyness" to it that adds a bit of grip power. Imo these are really nice pliers, & I love the roll up storage/carry case.... I also like the bright red color of the handles as that helps me quickly locate them on my crowded workbench :) Sunex has put together an excellent bundle deal with these plliers.... 5 Stars + Quality Product Recommendation ... show more

I have quite a few Sunex tools, like their torque wrench, plier set, wire strippers underhood light and they all have a decent weight, easy to use, and comfy fit. Sunex produces quality tools that I expect to hand down to my sons one day. The plier set comes in a carrying pouch.
