Works, I like the fact that it tells you the existing charge of the battery you hook it to. My fishing boat is in marina and I hate taking troll battery home to charge. I rigged this up this morning to a 75% charge deep cycle group 27. The panel is thin, I have to " stiffen " it up a bit, but it starts charging as soon as you attach to the battery. Does what the description says! I will write another review after I see how long it takes to get the battery full. Ok, 4 days later. Love this thing. Took about 22 hours of daylight to get charge 100%. Then switched automatically to maintenance mode. Glad I bought this! Been a week now, guess I won't need to pull battery out anymore. I leave charger hooked up while fishing. Just not an issue anymore. Great little solar panel! Mid July now. I go fishing and use my troll motor every morning, and sometimes come back in the evenings 7 days a week and have not had to remove battery to charge. I have had battery down to 50% just one time and within a day back up to 100% Group 27 deep cycle lead acid battery.

GMC Duramax SLT. These newer vehicles with all the electronics running in the background. You can’t leave parked for any length of time without draining your batteries. My trucks are not parked near power. These 20 watt panels are putting out 1amp in direct sunlight. Figure I’m getting 4-7 amps in coarse of a winter day. Depending on overcast etc. from what I have read the average vehicle drain is about 3.4 amps per 24 hour period. So far I am finding that this panel is keeping up. It has an excellent MPPT controller that is easy to set for the type of battery. And discontinuous charging once battery has reached full. This truck will have sat about a month upon my return. I do not foresee any problems. But will throw a meter on the electrical prior to starting. If I find it is not keeping the batteries topped off will update.1/5/2025 well I came back to my batteries voltage being down to 11.7 volts. Figured out not the panels fault. Had set up on inside windshield held up by visor to catch angle of the sun. I didn’t take into consideration was the UV protection from the glass that inhibits the panel from doing its job. (Same reason your self tinting glasses won’t turn dark inside the vehicle even if you set them on the dash). Once I set the panel in front of the windshield made all the difference.

I got this to replace a cheaper 30 watt panel from a different seller on amazon, that leaked glue everywhere when it got hot, and glazed over in the direct sun. This unit has a fairly solid build, the edges are sufficiently rounded to allow it to rest on a sunbrella boat cover without damaging it. I have 2 of these one for a boat, to keep its battery topped up, this panel is out in the direct sun every day. Unlike the cheap panel it has not glazed over and has not leaked glue or deformed. It gets a 5 star for this application. The other panel is for my off road vehicle which only gets occasional use, so it is for keeping that battery topped up. The previous cheap panel oozed glue everywhere making a sticky mess inside the vehicle. This new panel still oozed a tiny amount of what appeared to be glue, but it was not a problem and stopped after a couple of days. However it warped and deformed sitting inside the vehicle for a week. Unlike the previous panel which i left up against the windshield, this one i rested on the front passenger seat to prevent it from getting such high direct heat from the sun, also the windshield has a cover installed. Even then this panel deformed sitting on the front seat. Not impressed .... The older sticky oozing cheap one, never deformed. It still works as intended, but only gets a 3 star rating due to warping so easily. So i am averaging the review to 4 stars. My advice don't leave inside the car to top the battery up if you live in a hot southerly location.

I have a Nissan Frontier that does not get driven much so I got the 30w version to keep my battery from draining during down periods. It arrived to day in good condition and it is already doing it's job of tending to the battery voltage. Very happy with it so far. A minor inconvenience is that the charge controller is on the bottom of the solar panel so you cannot see it when it is installed. The 4 suction cup standoffs give it plenty of clearance and work fine. IF I want to permanently mount it on the tuck I will need to get a bit creative. For now 5 stars.

I really like this panel. I have some devices in my specialized vehicle which draw current even when the vehicle is turned off. At times this could lead to a dead battery. This panel helps me maintain a constant charge. It's rigid but thin. It comes with four large suction cups on standoffs so the panel can securely attach to the windshield. Other panels I've tried would not stick properly because the charge controller on the back side prevented all four suction cups from touching the glass at the same time. The panel's controller has a button for selecting the charging mode (standard 12V, AGM, or Lithium). Once selected, the mode is remembered. A 4-LED bar graph indicates state of charge.

I used it on both of my harley & yamaha motorcycles, & it charges fast and also works on a cloudy overcast day! Comes with all the attachments you will need, highly recommend if you dont have any 110v power to plug in a regular battery charger!!
