Works, I like the fact that it tells you the existing charge of the battery you hook it to. My fishing boat is in marina and I hate taking troll battery home to charge. I rigged this up this morning to a 75% charge deep cycle group 27. The panel is thin, I have to " stiffen " it up a bit, but it starts charging as soon as you attach to the battery. Does what the description says! I will write another review after I see how long it takes to get the battery full. Ok, 4 days later. Love this thing. Took about 22 hours of daylight to get charge 100%. Then switched automatically to maintenance mode. Glad I bought this! Been a week now, guess I won't need to pull battery out anymore. I leave charger hooked up while fishing. Just not an issue anymore. Great little solar panel! Mid July now. I go fishing and use my troll motor every morning, and sometimes come back in the evenings 7 days a week and have not had to remove battery to charge. I have had battery down to 50% just one time and within a day back up to 100% Group 27 deep cycle lead acid battery.

seems to be able to charge a truck battery well on a sunny day even from a severely discharged state below 11 volts to close to 13 in a half day

Have purchased a few of these over the years. Love the product use as trickle charge for boat battery. But when husband sells boat he leaves the panel on. That is why we keep purchasing.

Just tested in full sunshine holding the panel perfectly perpendicular to the sun and was able to get 1.01A, pretty close to the 1.1 on the label at 13.38V charging a 12V LFP battery. Although that's only 13.5W, nowhere near 20W. It claims to go to 18V at 1.1A, but not sure what 12v battery can charge at 18v. It's a great maintainer. It's a pretty stiff panel so I'm not worried about it sagging when supported at the ends horizontally. Overall I'm very happy. It comes with nice stand offs for the suction cups. Here's a pic of the specs on the back of the panel as well as the test results and the panel with the suction cups attached. I was also able to get a respectable amount of power (0.72A) charging with the panel horizontal (about 45° from optimal). I'd give it 5 stars if you could charge any 12v battery, FLA, AGM or Li, at 18V to get the advertised 20W.

Quality at first glance looks very good! Accessory pack gives plenty of options for power connection. Mounting options are ok. I adapted suction cup mounting option to use rare earth magnets for better versatility on my dump trailer. Would like to see an unattached MPPT controller option for better viewing of controller operations. Plug & play operation!

I bought this waterproof solar panel to keep the battery on my dump trailer charged, and it’s been a total win. No more dragging a charger out to the trailer or worrying about a dead battery when I need to use the hydraulics. This thing just works. Installation was super simple — mounted it to the trailer tongue with some brackets and ran the cable to the battery. It’s weatherproof, and we’ve had a few heavy rains and hot days with zero issues. The panel is still running strong. Even when the trailer is sitting for a few weeks, the battery stays topped off and ready to go. I paired it with a charge controller just to be safe, and the system has been flawless so far. If you have a dump trailer (or any trailer with a battery really), this solar panel is a no-brainer. It’s rugged, reliable, and saves me time and hassle.
