This hat arrived in such an awful state that I immediately was ready to return it. But, I thought I would take it out of the bag and see what it could do. I was happily surprised to see that I could get it into the shape I was hoping for. I think it will require a bit of stuffing for a few days to improve the crown (although it looks fine when on). As I am planning on taking the hat on a trip, it proved to me that it is indeed packable - but I will do a better job packing it. I am surprised at how poorly the hat was packaged to start with and I would encourage the vendor to take more care as others could be scared away at its condition upon arrival. ... show more

The hat is comfortable and well made but the adjustable brim bends out of shape very easily which is very frustrating especially after taking the time to get it just right. If you're OK with that then it's an attractive choice with nice features like an adjustable leather chin strip and hat band that adds a nice pop of color accent. ... show more

I have at least 6 of the Sunday Afternoon Eclipse caps, so I was excited to see if this version would work fo my wife. Things I like: * Style and materials * Adjustable brim, ability to reshape it * Size adjustment system within the interior band * Available in size ranges, so it is not One Size Fits Most Things I don’t like: * It arrived in a plastic shipping bag and was deformed * After multiple days, the crown has mostly, but not completely recovered the factory shape * Adjusting the interior band to the smallest setting pulls it away from the interior band, so I’m worried about the long term comfort ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I cannot rave enough about how awesome this hat is! It is a really really well made hat that is woven tightly and durable. It would be hard to destroy this hat and is made to last. What I really like is that there is a hidden wire all around the brim so you can mold it to how you want it to look. You can curl the brim really tight or loose like me. Also, this hat runs a bit big. I ordered mine in a small/medium and it’s just a bit big on me but I have a tiny beanie head so you may not have that problem. So this hat looks like a cowboy hat but feels like your straw hat you grab for the beach and it’s made for sun coverage. It’s also an amazing value. This feels like a nice hat with quality materials that block out the sun well. The string is a nice touch to ensure that it stays on your head and I find that this is true to size in my opinion. The color is accurate to real life, maybe every so slightly lighter in color if I'm being difficult. Out of the bag, there was some waffling around the brim (the horizontal flat part). I wish a little more care went into this aspect as now we may have to try ironing it out a bit. But overall, I am pleased with this hat and it meets my expectations. ... show more
