They take minutes to install and a couple of hours to figure out what is wrong with each one. Make sure you test EVERY light before installing. Sometimes the boxes are bad. Sometimes the it's the light. It is Friday night. I have a drywaller coming on Monday and I am trying to decide if I should go buy another version of this. Once it is behind sheetrock, it will be difficult to fix a problem. If they are a problem during installation, how long will they last? Follow Up... The drywaller came on Monday and now I have a nice, new plaster ceiling...one where, even after all my extensive checking...there are two working lights and two dead ones. My advice is to not buy these. But, if you do, make sure you leave enough Romex slack to pull them through the hole and replace the whole thing later. What a disappointment. I'm getting in touch with the manufacturer to get my money back. Follow Up 2 I have gotten in touch with Sunco via E Mail , told them my problem, and heard back from them that the window on returns is closed. I asked about their advertised 7 year warranty. Waiting for reply. Follow Up 3 After going back and forth with a guy named Diego and making no progress, I ended up calling the company. I got someone named Lorena who told me they got a bad batch of these last summer, apologized, and sent me replacements. Aside from the problem that they were bad to begin with, the real problem here was a help desk guy who didn't help much. Problem resolved.

I am a licensed electrician. Purchased these for my own home. These are plastic with a plastic junction box attached. One out of the 24 arrived broken, they have two spring clips that hold the device in place and one was broken off. The junction box is small, the included wire nuts are for a 14awg wire. I had to purchase yellow wire nuts to accommodate 2) 12 awg wires and the device wire for connecting several lights in series. Overall not bad for the price. Used LED specific dimmer.

I bought these lights for a remodeling we did in our house...they are of quite good quality compared to other more branded ones, and they fulfill their function for which they are made. Namely? That once installed they work well, and to this day without problems. If you have to use recess lights, I recommend them, they are affordable and their delivery is immediate. is subscribed to prime.
