I got these to replace some really old lighting in my bathroom, and I don't have any access above the ceiling, so these are ideal for that situation. They are very easy to install from below, they will use the old wiring, and they even have a night light. The lights themselves are very well built, they feel solid and the spring clips are strong. Just cut a round hole using the templates they come with, and wire up the power supply box using the supplied wire nuts. Then just plug in the light, clip it into the hole, and you're done! We got these to replace the old style recessed lighting in our hallway and we love them. The wiring is easy if you're semi-familiar with electrical. The wires go into a secure metal box that can be screwed to the joists, and it has a few different options for the color and brightness. When you first switch on the lights, it will be the brighter lights. But when you turn the lights off for 2 seconds and flip them back on, they go to the inside , soft halo glow we use as the nighttime nightlight. To switch back, you simply turn the lights off for another 2 seconds and flip them back on to go full brightness. When you're done with the lights and turn them off completely, after 10 seconds they will automatically go back to the bright lights as their default setting. These were exactly what we needed in our hallway, and they match our kitchen setup, too. Add a light dimmer to the equation and you have everything you need for a nice setup. ... show more

I couldn’t be more happy with these canless LED 6” recessed lights, they are reasonably priced and even better when there’s a coupon, I needed to replace a few 6” remodeler’s in my ceiling. I unhooked the can, slid it down, reattached the junction box for the new light, plugged the slim line LED in. I easily held the spring holds back slid the light up after setting it to 4000k, at only 14w they save energy and worked perfectly! These LED comes with everything you need to install including wire caps. They are hooked to a dimmer switch and they dimmed down nicely. These SUNCO lights are the way to go with a 7 year warranty. Overall a sensible easy way to save money on energy use, on a price point that is affordable. I will be buying more of these sets. ... show more

This is not for people who already has the can lights to replace this light. They have a different version for that. This is for new installation, so plan to drill holes. As usual, the quality of the light and functionality of light is great. I only installed one for testing and the install of the light is easy, drilling the hole, not so much.
