As an electrical contractor, I use a lot of these. These were my "go to" for recessed fixtures. Ive installed hundreds. With this last batch I received, I noticed that the spring wires had to be clipped into a plastic tab whereas the old model came fastened with a screw and a clip. The old model is much better. With the new design, I had several that would not stay in place because the spring wire kept coming out of the plastic clip. VERY POOR DESIGN. ... show more

I found these replacement LED lights to be very easy to install. Positives: The spring clips hold the new fixtures tight to the ceiling (I saw several reviews that said the clips were loose and left a gap between the ceiling and the fixture). I also found the brightness selection options to be good. The only problem is that the description (and the instructions that came with the fixtures) say they are adjustable for 5" or 6" openings via a little screw that allows you to adjust the width of the clips. There was no such screw or way to adjust the width on the lights I received. Fortunately for me, I had 6" openings and the replacement lights fit the 6" opening. But if you have 5" openings, I don't know if these fixtures will work. ... show more

I love that these lights allow custom color temperature. I was worried that this would mean a dimmer light (only some of the LED's lit to make the right color,) but they're nice and bright. I'm glad we bought these!

My 30 year old can lights were giving me nightmares with the hot air infiltration coming from my attic. I cannot emphasize how easy this solution worked. Simply remove the old bulb, detach the 2 springs holding ring assembly and remove. Next, I checked each bulb in a lamp before mounting then screwed the adapter end into the can. The springs on each side of the lamp slip into catches inside the can. When attached, the recessed light just glides up into the can with a push. Be sure to align the gasket so it seals against the ceiling. Each light took no longer than 5 minutes having completed 16 in about 1 1/2 hours. I have had experience with Sunco products before and I’m really impressed by these! Now I have updated lights that still have that “can” look with energy efficiency and a choice of 4 color shades.
