Best thing we’ve gotten for the bed, went with just a normal heated blanket and it always ended up not being where it was laid when we would go to sleep. I love how it stays in place and also heats each side up to desired temperature. Super soft but definitely would put your normal sheet over it if you don’t like the material. Been using the Sunbeam Restful Heated Mattress for couple months, glad got this for the winter. It designed to provide warmth and comfort during the cold weather. I got the Queens size, it made of soft and durable materials; the heat didn't distribute evenly sometimes, but for most of the time, it's pretty good. One of the main advantages of this mattress is it's ability to personalized warmth settings for each side of the bed, it came with two controls, one for each side. This allow couples to adjust the temperature to what they prefer without changing or compromise on the other half. It also features an auto-off function that it will turn off after awhile, to ensure safety and energy efficiency. Another advantage of this mattress is it's machine washable and dryer safe, simply just unplug the wire and put it in the washer, it's easy to maintain. Overall, this is a perfect mattress for me to get through the cold days, 5-10 minutes before I get to the bed, I just turn it on and by the time I get to the bed, it's nice, cozy and warm. ... show more

Update: 10 months later and it still works great. The only issue is when the power flickers it starts blinking and I have to unplug it then plug it back in. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this. I read a lot of the reviews that said the plug was annoying so I put it at the head of the bed. We slept on it last night and did not notice the plug at all. When I first put the pad on the bed I layed on it before I put on any sheets or blankets. I could feel only a very tiny bit of warmth so I did not think this was going to do much. I then put on the sheets and blankets and made the bed. About twenty minutes before I got into bed I turned both sides on to high. There are 10 settings from low to high and on the king size version there are dual controllers so each side can adjust the temp. When I got into bed OMG it was so nice and toasty warm. You can't feel it by touching the top of the comforter you can only really feel it when you get in the bed. Both my husband and I thought it was awesome. He turned his off when he got in and I left mine on for awhile. After laying there with it on high for awhile it got kind of hot so it is much warmer than I thought. But it is not super hot like a heating pad. I don't think it would be safe for it to be that hot. I live in Florida and we just had our first cold night in the low 50s and this pad worked awesome. (ha I know you northerners think that's not cold!) You can feel the wires a little but they are not really a nuisance. Overall I am happy with this pad and think it's a great deal for the price. I keep it on level 1 for heat, warm enough for me all night long. Love that it really heats; love that it lasts the entire night; has auto shut off at 12 hours if I forget to turn it off.

    • False marketing, cheaply made and stupid design choices.

I'll try to keep this short: 1) It's obvious from the reviews that the seller has used the same sales page to sell totally different products. People are talking about all sorts of different control boxes. Speaking of which, the seller even includes a picture of a different control box on the last image! ---------It's Amazon's fault that they even allow sellers to do this but; the fact that the seller does it gets them ONE star.... even if whatever you buy is the best thing ever! 2) The fabric is cheap, it rolls up all the time. As for the issue with being able to feel the wires? Eeeh, put a mattress protector on top of it, you should be doing this on ANY mattress anyway, much less with this thing. 3) I got the one with the control box that has a BRIGHT blue light in it, and I mean BRIGHT. It dims but it's still so bright I have to cover it. On top of that? The way the timer feature works is just stupid. The mattress pad heating elements turn off after the set time but; the control box just starts flashing the time etc at you.. and doesn't stop. The blanket turned off at like 12am last night, it's now 630pm and the thing was STILL flashing. 4) Sunbeams stupid idea that the plug for all their blankets or mattress pads should be in the center of them.. just dumb. 5) The coils are super far apart. 6) Said coils don't go within a foot or so of the top and bottom of the pad... for no real reason. Really the device itself would be 3 stars, but I just can't with the using the same page thing.. it's SO SHADY!! ... show more
