The seat on my 24 year old Tour Easy recumbent had seen better days, but there are no replacements for it, I checked. Easy racer, the manufacturer has a real funky way of attaching the seat to the bike and the seat back to the base of the seat that is very different than the way Sun and Rans do it. The dimensions of this seat are very close so I took a chance that I could make whatever modification it would need. I took the bracket off the old seat, drilling all the stainless steel pop rivets and then made an adapter plate to allow the old bracket to attach to the new seat which uses 4 M6 bolts. The new seat is as adjustable as the old one, same amount of fore and aft adjustment. The new seat worked great on my old bike, its on the firm side but very comfortable. I used to get numb on my 8 mile ride in the park, but with this new seat no issues. ... show more

I have an old EZ-1 Super Cruiser with a worn-out seat. I took a chance that this new seat would fit. So, here's the deal if anyone is interested in purchasing and replacing their old EZ-1 bike seat... This new seat is slightly smaller than the old seat that J&B used to make (for the old "ladder-shaped" frame). It's possible they make the same size seat as the old EZ-1 bike seat, but I didn't do much research and just bought the seat anyway. It fits the sliding bracket on the bottom of the old bike, which was good, and the threaded fittings in the bottom of the seat line up fine. The seat like I mentioned is slightly smaller and so it doesn't fill-in the gap between the back of the seat and the seatback. So, you can drill and extend out the four holes in the steel seat bracket and move the new seat back, closer to the mesh seatback. It's not necessary, but it's better than having that gap...it would give better lower back support. J&B did replace the wood on the bottom of the seat on this new seat and replaced it with a plastic material, and that was a better idea. The seats had problems with those tubed threads disappearing into the foam of the seat, and the wood would also rot and cause problems with the bolts attaching to the bottom of the wood base plate. So that solved another problem. I'm not particularly fond of the new EZ-1 design they came up with, but in the meantime, this new seat will work, and I'll check with J&B and the Sunseeker guys to see if they offer the same dimensions on this new seat as they did on their old frame design. Even though this new seat was not made for the EZ-1 old bike design (as Amazon stated it was a replacement for another bike or trike), overall, a quality seat cover and should be fine until I wear this one out! ... show more

Exact replacement part, easy to install (4 hex bolts), looks/works great! As with other after-market products, I found this quite expensive but had no other choice(s).

Advertised to fit Sun trike. Sure, it’ll fit it you have a machine shop and want to invest that kind of time. Thats not what I signed up for. Sending back.

I have one objection: My picture shows the screws that I have to reuse because the seat didn’t arrive with screws. They are Alan wrench screws with sleeves to fit the holes in the seat. The seat is made of plywood with a sponge cushion. I recommend getting a vynil seat cover so the sponge cushion doesn’t collect water and sweat, and rot the plywood seat base like you see in my picture. I like this seat and now I understand how to preserve it. ... show more

I was happy to receive my Sun EZ replacement bike seat three days ahead of the delivery date and even happier to discover how easy it was to attach to my EZ Rider. I had ordered from another company and waited and waited before cancelling my first order. I can't be more pleased with Planet Cyclery!
