I got the barstools with the natural wood top and black distressed frame. I like that the entire frame is welded. I compared a lot of stools based on price, appearance and height. These are adjustable which I prefer. Most bar height stools are too low for me. I wanted a black metal framed, wood seat stool. There are a lot to choose from. I finally narrowed it down to two. This one and one made by Ashley. The Ashley had a tubular frame. Mine is square and looks sturdier and higher end. The cost was about $60. each which is a really good price. The stools arrived well boxed and fully assembled. The only complaint is that one of the tops was stuck in two different spots when I spun it to raised the seat. Once I got it past the rough part of the "screw" it spun easily. The other stool didn't stick. ... show more

Very nice bar stools. Well made, sturdy. We were looking for a replacement for two bar stools (chairs with a back) that would fit in a relatively small space. We shopped locally, but everything we saw was too massive. Saw a very similar stool in a high end retailer that had a smaller footprint at a much higher price tag. Decided to look for the same style online and found this one. Even though it has a bit larger footprint than the higher priced stool, we decided to order it. The shipment arrived on time and the stools were exactly as described. Once they were in place, we saw that they visually took up less space than the chairs we were replacing, which was a nice surprise. We love the stools. I think they would work well in almost any type of decor. They have an industrial/rustic look and work great with our eclectic style. They look great, are comfortable, the seat adjusts very easily; we've received a number of compliments on them. Highly recommend. ... show more

Very nice stools if you like the rustic vibe, the wood color of the stool does wear off with just a few uses though. I tried buying another one since I ordered two originally but the price went up by $40 a stool in just two months! I'll try my luck later on but I refuse to pay that much more for the same stool. Update 8/12/2020 I ordered an additional stool from the first two that I bought and I was very disappointed. Right away I noticed it was not the same material. It is about 5 lbs lighter than the first two I bought last year and you can tell it was a cheaper version of it. ... show more

Solid product. Totally worth the money - it is at the lower end of barstools so i thought you get what you pay for but honestly everything about it is great and as advertised. The only shortcoming is the seat but in no way a deal breaker for this price. The seats' metal edge dug into my thigh a bit, but I'm a large guy so it may not affect other people. We’re in the process of a partial remodel and these barstools match what we have at our island (sans the back rest). They’re very heavy and fit the rustic/industrial look of the high table we’re building. We haven’t experienced any of the color rubbing off from the wood seats other reviewers noted and since I was expecting them to be a little rough, I figured I could lightly sand any spots that were a problem.
