  • 3Dlite+ is SOO Worth It!!! Don’t even consider the 3Dmini!
The media could not be loaded. We have a 9 month old baby, and up until now have only had the Mockingbird stroller. We are planning a trip to North Carolina this year, and we live in California. We wanted a good alternative for a smaller stroller, but didn’t know which to choose - the 3Dmini or the 3Dlite+. So we ordered both to compare (since there wasn’t any other adequate comparison we could find online). When we first got the 3Dmini, I was satisfied with the product (even though the lacking quality in the canopy annoyed me greatly, and the basket couldn’t fit our diaper bag)… but then we took one trip to Costco and my 6ft tall husband said we’d be returning it because it was too short for him (I’m 5’4”, the mini was the perfect height for me). And once the 3Dlite+ was delivered, the 3Dmini didn’t stand a chance. The 3Dlite+ is far superior in all aspects in its quality. Fabric, cushion, canopy, recline, basket, folding/unfolding lock mechanism, the lock for the folded position, wheels, brakes, front wheel locks (to prevent swiveling for rough terrain), taller handles (which still work great for me), sippy cup holder for baby, peekaboo window, smoother riding, deeper seat, higher weight capacity (so you get more use for how much you pay for it)… all for just a tiny bit more space taken up when folded and one inch wider when unfolded in comparison to the mini (see photos). The 3Dmini is simply not worth it, but the $120 (as of January 2024) for the 3Dlite+ is sooo worth it!! Please do yourself a favor and just get the 3Dlite+. You’ll be glad you did!! Update: We have owned the 3Dlite+ stroller for a year and a half now, and it's come with us on alllll sorts of trips -- the previously mentioned North Carolina trip, Washington state, Tennessee, Arizona, Monterey, a week at Disneyland, etc. It's easily become a stroller we used more often than our Mockingbird simply because of it's foldable size and weight. Our child has taken many naps in it comfortably, and when we were in Disneyland when it was in the upper 90's, we were able to attach a battery powered fan with the legs that can bend and wrap around bars. We attached the fan to the side of the stroller, near the folding section, and it kept our boy cool and comfortable (he didn't get sweaty, and he was able to nap comfortably). When he wasn't riding in the stroller, I'd pull the canopy back and tilt the fan a little higher and I was able to enjoy a light breeze too. Anyways! All of that to say, we've greatly enjoyed our stroller, and it's been well worth the money. Now we are expecting our next little one to come in about 2 months, and after our most recent trip (Disneyland), we finally have something that's broken - the left wheel brake. So now we are on the hunt for a new stroller... Why look for a new stroller? Well, as wonderful as this stroller has been for us, we have learned there are 3 things we want different: 1) We want a stroller with a bar that goes all the way across to push - sometimes we've needed to push it one-handed and it doesn't do a good job of steering straight this way. 2) We want the cargo space to be different. We've been able to make it work with our diaper bag, but it's a headache to work with it sometimes because our bag is fairly wide. Obviously if we had a different diaper bag (narrower) that could be remedied. However, we learned from all the naps our child took in this stroller, that we either completely lost access to the basket underneath while the seat was reclined, or we had to carry the diaper bag if we wanted access. So we want to try to find something with a large basket that is more easily accessible (even though this basket did a fantastic job overall). We are also going to be replacing our diaper bag with one that's a smaller size since we have another baby joining the family soon. We think that combo will be very helpful in resolving the issues we had. 3) We want a stroller that folds down a little more compact. This one is long and skinny, but we've had a hard time working around that at times when packing the trunk of our car. It's also not the easiest to carry when it's folded. So we're now going to look for one that folds down more into the size of a carry-on suitcase... you know, the kinds that collapse and they're more like a flat square than rectangular. So that's been our experience with this stroller! I'm sure it would've lasted much much longer if it didn't go on so many trips and get used like a daily stroller - but even so, it's still been totally worth the purchase and we have enjoyed our time using it while it lasted. It's not meant to be a heavy duty stroller, but we used it like crazy, and although we are looking to replace it with a different stroller, we would still give it 5 out of 5 stars! ... show more

  • Great travel stroller
Love this stroller it’s lightweight perfect for traveling has cupholder, phone holder and a pocket to keep things. Stroller lays back far enough for an infant. It has small basket under stroller and amazing hood for shade.

  • Great stroller: Reclines, Lightweight, Extra Large Canopy!
Absolutely love this stroller. Bought it a couple of years ago to travel with for my now almost 3 year old. It's lightweight and was a good price but I had doubts about it's durability. Well it proved me wrong. Some winning features: 1) Umbrella folds - great for travel. We bring it right to the gate and aircraft door and gate check it. We have also successfully put it on top of our luggage horizontally in the back of a taxi and rental car many times. 2) Extra long sun canopy. This is amazing and I recognize this is a rare feature. It goes down super low and provides the darkness my son needs for an on the go nap. He often pulls it down himself. 3) Extra low recline. This is also an amazing and critical feature for travel when you're more likely to have a nap on the go! It almost goes all the way horizontal - super easy to do with one hand. When my son is not into a nap he can easily sit up and clicks the seat into an upright position without me having to adjust it for him. 4) Lightweight! Super crucial for travel! 5) Cup holder and Phone Holder - also so great for travel! They can also easily be removed for travel. Basically this stroller replaced our fancy Uppa Baby Vista stroller for day to day use. That's how much we like it. Minor Downside: 1) Smallish basket - but compared to other similar strollers it's a very good size when some don't even have any. Also note that when you recline fully the space underneath obviously shrinks. 2) When going down stairs you'll need to carry it. Similar to what another reviewer has said...The wheels and base are not high enough off the ground to bounce it down the stairs. Fast forward 16 months since we bought --- it's been on a lot of trips and bumpy roads, many flights, handled and folded many many times, and held up EXTREMELY well and we've not been gentle on it. Only recently had a nut fall off which I replaced with a wing nut and it is just fine. I've cleaned it several times which is super easy. If you're on the fence...get it! ... show more

  • Sooo strong
Style: 3Dlite+ Color: Matte Black
Two years and going strong! This stroller was originally purchased as our travel/park/beach stroller, until we lost our other fancy “city” stroller. Well, let me tell you, this stroller stepped up. After two years and many trips, we can’t recommend it enough.

  • Vendor (Summer Infant) has terrible customer service
When the stroller arrived, it was missing the canopy. I contacted the company (Summer Infant) right away. I told them what was missing. Their first email back asked me what was defective. I again stated that nothing was defective - I was missing the canopy. Then I received an email asking for 8 different items. I gave them everything they asked for the same day. I also asked for this to be rushed because we were leaving on vacation. They told me they couldn't do that & it would take 5-7 days. 7 days later I had to follow up to see where it was. 2 days after that (June 6), they informed me it had been delivered and gave me a tracking number without saying how they shipped it. I found the tracking number on FedEx and it had been delivered 5/31. We had already left on vacation by that time. A kind neighbor saw the package and took it to their house. The stroller is fine. No problems with the product. I would not order from this vendor again. ... show more
