These would make a great gift just bc of the packaging alone. It comes in a nicely made cardboard box that’s made to look like wood. I’ll probably keep it for storage purposes. The color of the bowls are not exactly as I expected. I was thinking it would have been more of a true blue and yellow but the blue has a bit of teal (not sure if that’s the exact right shade but close) and the yellow has a green tone to it. SULIVES Small Ceramic Bowls for Kitchen came unbroken, individually bubble wrapped, in divided gift box which was in a specific sturdy shipping box inside another box with another Amazon item. Gift box emulates wood grain with a random printed comment about aesthetics (photo). Six bowls + three designs = two bowls sharing the same pattern. Each bowl was gloss glazed accurately and pattern details match the mate. Bowls have no markings on bottom. Bowls cleaned easily and were hand-washed. After drying discovered they did not stack nicely. One bowl fit tightly into another where another bowl rocked inside another. These are small, at 10 oz, bowls. They could be used for prep, condiments or for serving smaller portioned foods. ... show more

Somehow I missed where it said small on the listing lol. These are on the smaller side and perfect for two or three scoops of ice cream or a small bowl of soup. That’s totally my bad because it does clearly list that on the title listing itself. Now on the positive side, these are very well-made ceramic bowls. Beautiful colors and painting on there that does not ship. Whether hand washed or washed in the dishwasher. I like these little bowls. They only hold 2 ounces more than a cup's worth. This helps me control my serving sizes when I am preparing items which should be limited to about a cup. Additionally, the bowls can be stacked inside each other, which makes for easier storage. The decorations are nice. The only drawback was the fact that one of the bowls was lighter in color than it's matching pair --- this shows a lack of process controls or quality checks. I had purchased a previous set of bowls in this size (4.5 inch diameter and holds about 8 oz.) many years ago, but one by one, they chipped or broke. I had started looking for a replacement set a while back, but this size has been hard to find. Then the other day, my husband broke another one, and with just one 4.5 oz. bowl left in my cupboard, I became super motivated to hunt down a new set. Fortunately, I found this set of bowls on Amazon, and it was love at first sight! These bowls are exquisitely beautiful and eye catching. And I am happy to report that they are even more stunning in person! The dark blue, yellow and creamy white interior color combination is cheerful and elegant. I love each of the 3 different patterns that were “inspired by ocean waves, the sun, and flowers” and how each bowl is topped with a pretty yellow rim that gently curves outward. Moreover, the beautiful design of these bowls is not confined to the inside, as the fluting around the sides along with the tapered foot on the bottom add to its elegance and attractiveness. My set of 6 bowls was securely packed and shipped in an attractive box, which would be very suitable for gift giving. In my opinion, these bowls are the perfect portion-controlled size for eating cereal, yogurt, fruit, and ice cream. Since the bowls have such a nice texture and feel, I enjoy holding them in my hand while eating from them.
