We have two large soup bowls left after my husband had his butter hands on them. They are melamine and ancient and chipped and my husband loves to nuke his oatmeal every morning. Korean food is my comfort food and the quart soup containers j u s t fit. So we needed: not melamine, microwave safe, large enough for soup. These delivered and more! 1. They’re beautiful. Like - I feel the need to keep them in an inconvenient place so I can see them all the time -beautiful. 2. They’re weightier than a standard bowl you’d find with every-day dinnerware, with more heft toward the bottom. I don’t feel like it will tip over if I move slightly, but it’s also comfortable to hold. It feels like part of a special occasion dinner service. Also, your utensils don’t immediately slide down towards the center. 3. They hold the soup! With a comfortable amount of room at the top! 4. They are indeed microwave AND dishwasher safe. I haven’t tried it in a freezer or oven but that’s intriguing. 5. In fairness, I have to report that my husband is terrified of them and has yet to break down and use one. If he reads my reviews (most very probably not)….. THE BOWLS ARE CRACKED AND I CAN SEE ANOTHER LAYER OF BOWL THROUGH THE THINNING TOP COAT. And if that’s isn’t enough they are NOT. MICROWAVE. SAFE! Learn to be more careful. I’m giving you some time with your two bowls to say goodbye and then they’re going to whatever place melamine goes to die.

Look great. Perfect size for ramen or big salads. Also use as serving bowls at dinner. No complaints. No chipping and we’ve used several times and put through dishwasher.

Absolutely LOVE these bowls. We've been using them for a few weeks and they are our "go-to" for salads, ramens and pasta. Finally, a bowl that's big enough for our "big salads". So much better than our 40 oz bowls that were just never quite big enough. Beautiful ceramic finish and easy to clean by hand or run through the dishwasher.
