I normally purchase my outdoor gear from LL Bean or Bass Pro, so using Amazon for this kind of thing is a first for me. Seems all the major companies are buying from outside the US, so I figured I might as well try this one. It's made int the United Arab Emirates...go figure. Anyhow, about the product. The fit is a bit smaller than what I would have liked. In the photos I'm wearing a Tee and a merino wool top. I was hoping to be able to layer under this, but...it's all good. I could maybe wear a thin coat and not be too uncomfortable. Based on my first wear in a light rain, it keeps the water off (way better than the Bean version) and it's packable(like the Bean version). It has air holes under the arms so you don't get too hot. It's comfortable, but a little noisey for still hunting(if you're into that, I'm still gonna give it a go). Only thing I can complain about is the pockets seem to open a bit of their own accord and they get a little water running into them. Kind of a bummer, but I've dealt with worse. I would buy this product again, but I get a bigger size. Edit 19 May 2023 Did a test the other day. We had a good Midwestern storm come through, heavy rain and some winds. I stood in the rain until my pants were pretty wet. When I went back in the house and took the anorak off, my shirt was completely dry. Loving this anorak a bit more now. ... show more

I wasn’t surprised by the quality / fit, I own two of these in black and red. I wanted a bright colored windbreaker so I could be seen biking and kayaking. In the absence of a lime / tennis ball green color which was my preference, I went with the ‘yellow’ which appeared to be more of an old school raincoat shade. I bought this with the intent to use on a windy ferry during travel. I test all of my raincoats for their ability to handle water by getting in the shower with it on, and by this metric it was truly waterproof. It packs up really small, and the pockets are huge and give lots of storage options. The fit is really oversized; I’m usually a dress size 6-8 so I bought a medium, but the medium fits like a large; I have space even when layering thick fleeces underneath. Got this same jacket in 2004 as a gift at a conference I attended. It was red. It had an embroidered logo on the chest. It has been used well and still looks new. I found this and decided I wanted a new color. It came in two days and looks great. It is for what it is, a light windbreaker. I find it perfect for early mornings when the temperature is 60-70 degrees. It will also keep the dampness out, but not a rain shower. It is not a rain jacket. Hi viz yellow for riding my bicycle. 60f and I was sweating inside of this thing. Does not allow air flow, BUT.......that makes it waterproof right????? Packs down to just about nothing. This may be fantastic, it just depends on what you use it for. I wanted the hi visibility for safety and something to keep me dry if it rains. Any moderate to excessive physical activity and you will be sweating . Might be great for weight loss too. For the price it's fantastic!!!! ... show more

This is a super lightweight windbreaker. I used it when I hiked Mt. Diablo in Clayton, Ca. Kept me warm enough till the sun came up over the Mt. I’m a LG but I would have got XLG. Don’t listen to their size app. It’s wrong unless your a woman. Just saying. Go one size up fir stretch n mobility
