  • It works!
Perfect! It works great for my aloe, mother-in-law's tongue and my other succulents!!!

  • Fast Delivery
Guess I got a good value for the money. The jury is still out on whether it’s what I need for reporting my plants. These days you have to purchase gobs of something to get a break on the price. Back to this product. Succulents they do not require lots of water. I read online that a succulent needs 5% vermiculite in the soil mix. I admit that is puzzling because, not needing much water, why would a succulent soil mix need VERMICULITE to help retain water? Also, this SOIL RECIPE mix also calls for 10% PERLITE, so wouldn’t one cancel out th other? PUZZLING and CONFUSING? I gave this product a 5🙂 because they got it to me really fast. Amazon deserves points, too, because they got it here so fast.. ... show more

  • My plants feel regal now
I’d had a problem with soil fungus and with fungus gnats. I tried neem oil (spent $$$ on 4 bottles over 4 months), copper liquid, ammonium sulfate, and potassium permanganate in the soil… My poor azalea didn’t know what was coming next! I even tried fresh soil. The fungus returned, every time! Then I added this to the fresh soil and broke up the soil. This aerates the soil and makes it fluffier. The fungus never came back, and no more gnats. I wish I’d started with this (or peat moss, or something else to make the soil less dense). This product arrives vacuum sealed, so it seems like it’s not a lot, but it crumbles and spreads. My fungus-free soil looks RICHER (hint of gold!) and holds the right level of moisture. ... show more

  • Super small vermiculite vacuumed packed
This product comes in a very firm, vacuumed-packed bag that is about 12X12X1/4 inch. The vermiculite is tiny. I'm using it to cover some seeds in my home-growing veggie greenhouse when covering is mandated. So the tiny size is good. Once you break the seal, the vermiculite settles to the bottom of the bag so it's easy to pour (and seal the bag). It will probably last me several years. The vermiculite I'm used to on the farm I work at is much larger, and MUCH cheaper. So unless you need tiny (like, less than 1/16th) vermiculite, this product is very expensive. ... show more

  • Useless dust - do not recommend
Wanted this to use with essential oils to make scent sachets for repelling bugs and other uses. The individual pieces are way too tiny and just dust. I guess I'll toss it in with my potting soil for flowers since I can't return it. Not using it in my vegetable garden as who knows what this really is... it came in an unlabeled package. Should have spent more time on reviews before purchasing! ... show more

  • No good
Compared with other brands I bought before, the quality of this vermiculite is obviously not as good as other brands, there are a lot of powder in it, I will not buy it again

  • What I expected it would be
Vermiculite is very fine and I use it when I propagate plants. The quality is good and it retains moisture like it should.
