TL;DR: product okay. Level of ease to use is 3-4/5. Value is 2-3/5. (Full Review below) Picture with cotton swab for scale. **Note, the container is double-walled = less space for sugar wax. I try to buy/use zero waste/eco friendly as much as possible - while still being economical. This product was very promising- as an easy-to-use home wax kit, with the potential to to save money and thwart hair growth. My advice is to read the instructions but also check out some online user videos. The skill is not complicated; however, holding the card makes my hand hurt after a while. Make sure you use a pre and post skin conditioner- to prevent strawberry rash. The product warms up really fast and becomes gooey and unusual - so make sure you’re not just getting out of a hot shower and use this in a cool room only (bathroom is too humid). Use smaller amounts and if you get too icky it does rinse off really easily. You’ll have to keep the skin taught and work on the skin-flick with the card and most likely will need to rinse the card often. I have very blonde hair so others can’t really tell but this does not get skin smooth. On advice from an aesthetician I was told that others often run a razor over their waxed body parts after sugaring (for a skin-smooth result). This is not what I intended as I’m trying to eliminate the need for razors - and their garbage. I will also say that the product is much smaller than I anticipated and the boasted “3x per leg” is not realistic. I did my legs almost one full leg each and one lost leg each- and for $20+/container that’s not the cost savings I was hoping for. I was so excited to receive this product and try it out. The video’s make it look so easy and not using much product. However, upon receiving the jar wasn’t closed all the way and it was a mess. After several failed attempts of getting the “flick” right (totally on me not the product) I got it figured out. It’s still not as easy as shown to be. Also you have to change out the sugar wax quite often. It quickly changes from the amber wax color to a pale lime green and loses its effectiveness. I’ll use up what I have but I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again. I was looking for something easy to use and this unfortunately isn’t that. ... show more

    • Not for beginners
You can bruise the heck out of your legs if you don't know what you're doing. I don't recommend this product in general because you have to keep it at a particular temp at all times and in my house, the various levels vary wildly in temperature (basement can get down to 64 degrees, main level can be at 68 and upstairs can get as hot as 80). Even if the storage temperature is just a me problem, your body temp can also alter the product and skew your results. If you use the same glob of wax over and over, your body will heat the product up after just a couple of swatches and it won't work anymore. More than it not removing much if any hair after it heats up, it sticks to you and when you go to pull it away, it just grabs at your skin painfully, leaving you with a bunch of dark bruises. I find this wax is just really hard to work with. I bought an electric shaver instead. It doesn't get a close shave at all but is eco-friendly, fast and easy and you can use it everywhere. ... show more

Wanted this to be "less painful" like it states but it wasn't. As long as you let you hair grow out enough it works good.

It works really well for removing hair. But you definitely have to learn the trick otherwise you will bruise yourself.

    • This stuff is annoying
So… this stuff works well and you get the hang of flicking it pretty quickly, BUT it heats up pretty quickly and once it does… gooey sticky mess that gets everywhere and onto everything… I guess one good thing is that it washes away quickly with just plain water

I bought this because I get a Brazilian with sugaring and love the results. I decided I wanted to do my own legs. It’s all about being smart and educating yourself. All of the bad reviews are people that didn’t bother to educate themselves. Watch the videos and pay attention. Yes it’s super sticky - DUH it’s sugar! You have to spread it the opposite direction of hair growth and flick super quick with the bottom half of the card in the direction of growth. I did both legs, knee down in 15 min. Super smooth results. It’s extra effective if you exfoliate your skin and use a toner, like Thayer’s, with witch hazel to prep the skin. ... show more

    • Too expensive too learn to use
I watched the tutorials and practiced. When sugaring it would go well first 3 flicks and then get sticky and melt to my skin and not flick off. Using in ac turned down to 69. May be user error but i only got pieces of my legs waxed and used the most of the 28.00 jar…..too expensive to practice with
