This is a very good mattress, with just one problem. The elastic straps connecting the topper to the mattress, is much too small and definitely too weak to hold the topper in position. I have an adjustable bed, and I sleep with my head elevated due to a back problem and also due to sleep apnea. The band on one corner broke the very first night, and the other band at the other top corner, slipped off. The reason is the elastic bands are not broad or strong enough, and also too close to the corners to fit deep enough under the mattress corners to hold it in position. For the price, I expected a better quality of these items.

thinking if it was just a tad firmer it wouldn't feel so denting in but that might just be the fact that we are larger proportions. for smaller folks it might be a little firm. it does act as a decent cooling pad which for the hot desert we are in is a very necessary feature. overall a very good way to renew an older mattress, extend its life and put off spending hundreds for a new bed.

Because of back issues (which has led to hip and leg pain) sleeping on the floor seemed like where I'd be for the rest of my life. On a whim, I ordered this and stuck it on our new low platform bed (bed frame + plywood sheet) and voila! Instant comfort. Not too soft and definitely not too hard. This was just what we needed for a comfortable night's sleep. Hubby happily sleeps on it without any complaints. Obviously this is not going to have the plush comfort level of a full memory foam mattress but if you have back/hip/leg pain, give it a try! Super comfy.

The topper may work if they fold it correctly, but in the case of the one I got, it will never be right. A person with little intelligence came up with it packaging configuration where it has 2 sharp folds along the length of the topper then is rolled into a bag then a box. The topper will not let the 2 folds flatten out, it remembers them very well. I have tried all suggestions for flattening the folds and they are still there. The topper is less comfortable to sleep on than sleeping on the floor, so its pretty bad.
