We bought this for our back yard swimming pool. We normally swim for 3 hours at a time. The battery has lasted long enough so far. No need for us to have an additional battery. We like the floater option that can be attached to the front. Without it the unit will just sink to the bottom when you let it go. I wont let little kids use it, it is just too fast I feel for them. My 5 year old nephew can hang on to my 13 year old's shoulders while my 13 year old operates it. I also think anyone in the pool with long hair should secure their hair. It seems like long hair can easily get sucked into the fan blades. It was expensive for a pool toy but I hope we get at least 3 summers out of it. So far we really enjoy it. ... show more

I bought the Pro version as I knew my kids would use it all day and I saw the reviews that the regular one only lasts for about 15 minutes. In addition, I purchased a second battery which is charging while the other one is in use. This scooter is everything and much more! We took it to Bimini and used it to snorkel and glide next to manta rays. It was used non-stop all day by children and adults (swapping out the batteries when they would die out) and did not disappoint. Everyone in our party is purchasing one! Speed is great on both settings depending what you are using it for. It is easy to carry around (I also purchased the carry bag which is also great!) and lightweight. My kids (14 & 15) say the top part is not necessary if we are just snorkeling so we did not use that. I also contacted Amazon as the battery cover was misplaced and the Seller immediately contacted me and sent me a replacement cover free of charge. I wish I could give it a review. I saw this on the feed in the summer and was notified during a flash sale. I bought and when I had time off work to take to pool, I got someone’s return. Now mine was an impulse buy based on what it looks like it can do. But the one I received didn’t have a power source. I received the device and the top wing (fin) whatever it is. I returned. I noticed upon return that the serial numbers did not even match up from the inner to the outter box. I’m bummed, but I guess it worked out since it was an impulse buy for myself. I’ll continue to watch and if it drops to where I don’t feel guilty I’ll repurchase. Oh, the motor had a hair wrapped up in it. Blonde I think and mines black! ... show more

Bought this to replace a Yamaha Explorer Sea Scooter and this thing is way better. Kids and adults loved having this pull them all around the pool. Its light weight and powerful. I am over 200 and it pulled me around the pool just fine. Charge time is about 2hr for full battery. Going with a lithium battery was smart move. Don't have to worry about water tight seal and all that. Just drain the water and dry off after use. ... show more

Guys, this thing is AWESOME! Took it SCUBA diving and it worked GREAT! In the same dive resort, took it to the pool and EVERYONE that tried it LOVED IT! My max depth using it was 60 feet. My dives were about 50 minutes each time and it did not run out of power. I switch speed modes multiple times during each dive. It is a BLAST! SO MUCH FUN!!! I would highly recommend this product. There are YouTube videos on how to maintain it if storing for many months. It would be a wise thing to do to protect your new toy and insure you can use it for years to come. ... show more

I researched looking for something to simply help with physical therapy after an extensive knee surgery as a gift. He absolutely loves water and feels at peace. I was looking for something to help once the knee could get wet after the his stitches healed and he could get back in his pool. The first few uses were in his pool and he was so impressed. Recently, it has been a about 6 weeks since he could be in the water again, and the entire family fights over it. It now accompanies them to Lake Powell. I own three of these. One I’ve had for a little over a year and a half. It’s not a well designed product. The battery covers always fall off in the water. I’ve had to replace these things twice so if you don’t plan on keeping these more than six months, you’re fine.
