I see a lot of people leaving reviews from April that says it does work with the firmware update but that has not been my experience. If you’re like me and updated your firmware without realizing all the implications it came with (meaning you didn’t use old sawgrass cartridges or any other tricks prior to updating) then sadly this will still get you the diamond pattern print on top of your sheets. I love this ink and its vibrancy as I used it twice prior to the update stopping me. I do see some people saying they got ink with an updated chip but maybe mine was an old version? Idk

I read every single review, was still a bit skeptical but ordered the ink for for SG1000. The Magenta works fine, the yellow won’t register. The printer will still print but the quality is garbage. My email to customer service including photos has remained unanswered. So now I’m out money and behind a week because I didn’t just order the Sawgrass ink. Don’t waste your time or money on this.

I order this ink to use in my sublimation printer. I have ordered it a couple of times and the color always works great. It’s a great more affordable product than the original ink that came with my printer

If you have a Sawgrass, you probably experienced the recent firmware update. It holds your printer captive until you install it. After the install, generic ink cartridges are not recognized. So, when I saw these on Amazon, I was skeptical, fearing it would have the same issue with the chip being outdated. I receive these yesterday and they work just fine. The printer recognized them right off and they do not cause a watermark on the print job, as was an issue a few firmware updates ago. For the price they are a bargain.

I have to say that I feel extremely betrayed by Sawgrass. I saw some raving reviews and decided to buy a Sawgrass SG500. I had been using Hiipoo ink cartridges because they are way cheaper than the ridiculous Sawgrass cartridges. Sawgrass now prompted me to update my firmware, which I did happily to keep my printer up to date and I hoped maybe it would fix a print quality issue I've been seeing. But to my surprise, the firmware update makes it check for non-Sawgrass cartridges and disables your printer! It ays you are using non-sawgrass inks and your warranty is void. Then it prints a diagonal grid across your images, so you can't even use them! Thankfully, these Xcinkjet have an updated chip so the printer works as it should again. For the $300 price tag on Sawgrass cartridges (which are the same size), I would have thrown the printer right in the trash. These cartridges saved me and will let me get some more use out of this printer for a while longer.

The media could not be loaded. I have two Sawgrass SG-500 and one of them is out of the guaranty. Original ink cost about $300, so I decided give a chance to this brand after a little research. And I did a test with the original and this one to really see the differences. I’m very pleased with the results. The colors and quality are the same. After printed, you can’t say which one is the original ink on the paper. I noted an almost imperceptible clear color with this brand after sublimate the mug, but I’m a perfectionist and I know that every ink interacts different with sublimation papers and temperatures can vary and influence also. But, like I said, it’s imperceptible. I didn’t have any problem to install the cartridges. It was just place and print. I liked because it’s not this kind of series A and B cartridges. For sure, I will be buying more.
