As a DIY nail enthusiast, this drill worked beautifully for 18 months. I was disappointed when it died, but given the low price point ($25 at purchase). I definitely got my money’s worth. I learned how to do acrylic nails at home using this drill – I got pretty good! This drill is absolutely suitable for beginners**. I used it about once a week. At first, I used it to file down my super bulky, very messy acrylic application. After the first few months of trial and error, it was mainly used for removing gel polish. It worked perfectly for that purpose. What’s included: This drill comes with several drill bits – some are helpful, but I ultimately opted for a separately purchased extra coarse ceramic drill bit (it ran me about $8 and worked perfectly with this drill). I rarely used any of the included bits after purchasing the ceramic. If you buy this drill, you should explore higher quality drill bits – it will make a world of difference. For professionals: Don’t purchase this drill. With use once per week (if that!) this only lasted 18 months. It doesn’t stand a chance with all day, every day use. Also, this drill is shaky – this causes no discomfort for a user doing a personal set, but it’s a problem if you’re serving multiple clients. I absolutely would (and probably should’ve) purchase this drill again. When this one died, I opted for a higher price, higher quality drill – it arrives tomorrow and I’ll likely regret it. Bottom line – this drill is frills free, but serves its purpose remarkably well at an exceptionally low cost. ** Side note for beginners, you can burn the absolute hell out of your cuticles using this drill. It moves fast and gets hot. Don’t mistake the small size and portability for lack of power. Take advantage of the variable speeds and take your time. Bounce from nail to nail – and please watch tutorial videos. The heat isn’t a tool problem, it’s your technique. This drill worked so well for me, it can work for you. Good luck!

First of all - if you are not a professional, please be careful using an e-file. This one is very easy to use and I'd call it beginner-friendly for sure, but it's very easy to damage your nails and cuticles with an e-file, no matter how great the tool is! Do NOT use this to drill your natural nail and make sure you know which drill bit is for what before you take one to your cuticles! That said, this is a great drill! It comes with all of the bits you need and plenty of replacement sanders. It's easy to use and perfectly strong enough for my purposes. I am not a professional so I just use it to grind gel polish off of my professionally-done acrylics or DIY dip nails. (Again, do not use this on your natural nails ahhH!) It helps me extend the life of my professional sets and lets me change colors or repair chips myself.

Fabulous. Has two power settings. Attachment goes in without clunky switches like other drills have and stays in securely even when working upside down. Came with an ample amount of drill bits for detail work and cleaning. Cute and very slim compared to the vogue pro model which was functional for a year but horrendously designed and colored. This would be very cute to keep near your vanity. Also this is very quiet compared to other drills I would use, sort of like how some hairdryers have a low humm this one is almost silent relative to a nail drill. I thought it wouldn't be powerful when I first heard it but nope, it has enough juice to drill down acryllics, etc. with just the regular bits. Very good product. I would warn people who have not used nail drills before that this is not for beginners, you can easily give yourself or a client a serious friction burn if you do not know how to operate a nail drill and don't understand high/low settings because the sound of the humm is NOT indicative of how fast its going, you can turn it up full power and it's still quite soft sounding.

This drill is really easy to use, comes with a bunch of accessories and is so small. Looks like I got lucky as mine does not over heat as some reviews have experienced. I've had it for under a month but have used it a lot to file down gel nails for removal. I think it cost me like $17 and the price definitely is a huge factor in my loving it. In general it's a fine product. For under $20 it's a great product. Though I'm still waiting to see how it does through three test of time. It is low powered, so reasonable expectations are important. That being said, the first time I used it I almost drilled through my thickish toenail because I had it on the highest setting and was expecting it to make less headway than it did. I love this thing and think it was a great but and addition to my nail routine.
