  • Sometimes OEM replacements matter!
Don't think the auto parts stores brand is the same quality or application. I bought an auto parts store brand thermostat for my 2012 Outback when replacing my timing belt, pulleys and water pump. The store brand thermostat lasted about 3 months before it threw the rubber gasket, keeping the thermostat open. This will lead to a low coolant temp code.   • Sent a defective thermostat and was charged a "restocking fee" for the return.
DO NOT BUY!!!! I was sent a defective thermostat and when I returned it I was charged the full price of thermostat for a "restocking fee". It would appear Amazon is just restocking the defective thermostats and selling them to other customers. Unless you want to buy a defective thermostat choose another product. ... show more
