I keep this on the floor in the 2nd row just behind the console (so in front of the middle seat) … it makes it convenient whether I’m in the driver’s seat or the passenger seat to just simply reach back, feel for the opening, then throw whatever away without even having to look back or take my eyes off the road when I’m driving. It sits flat and has never tipped over, which is a huge plus… And it doesn’t slide around when turning corners. It also takes a trash bag (which you can purchase separately) so you can just take that out as needed. I keep the spare bags in the bottom so that they’re always handy when it’s time to replace the bag. It might prove to be an inconvenient location if you often have someone sitting in the 2nd row middle seat, so in that case, maybe you could strap it between the 2 front seats (attaching it to the headrests). I doubt this can hold two gallons of anything. It's about the size as a one gallon jug of milk. The adjustable strap is fairly short, I wasn't able to wrap it around my center console as I hoped. It's on the back of my passenger seat and a bit difficult to reach in the car. I'm not a fan of hanging things off my shifter but if you don't have front passengers often it's a possibility. It's advertised as doubling as a small cooler, which would be impossible. There is no zipper sealing it in and the top entry has gaps between the flaps. There is no way it would insulate enough for a cooler. However, the thin "insulation" makes for water proofing. The side pockets are nice to have. I put extra disposable bags in there. All in all, I spent less than $6 on sale. Can't really complain too much for the price. It holds garbage and somewhat has a lid, just don't expect too much from it. ... show more
