This is our third purchase of a Streamlight product. Our 1st flashlight was purchased about 7 years ago. My husband used this flashlight so much we had to purchase 2 extra batteries about 2 years ago. With so much usage at home and at his work our battery charger finally stopped charging last week. He tried working without his flashlight for just a day while I looked at buying a new charger. Which turned out to be not a great day at work. Everyone was use to him having his flashlight because of the brightness. When working in confined places his light was always needed. When we got home I looked into the best options and decided that we were better off buying another flashlight with a charger and batteries. This way I would have one to use too. The flashlight is sturdy, shine bright, always dependable and lite weight so if I need to hold it for a long time while helping my husband I can without hurting my arm. Now, I have one at my fingertips and am always willing and able to help if my husband needs me to help. I hate to say this but, I really like the Dual Switch feature on the new flash light and want a new one like his. I really like knowing that we now have a flashlight we can depend on and that we are not throwing away a fortune on batteries. Living in the country our flashlight has helped so we do not step on snakes that might cross our path, finding our black lab when she decides to hide in the back of the pasture when she does not want to come in when I call her or seeing her chase a heard of deer in our yard. My 3 year old grandson uses the flashlight when he comes over to visit and due to the durability we have had no problem letting him use the flashlight to teach him the safety of shining it on the ground to see what is ahead of you, PawPaw and BB are not afraid the it will break. Your Streamlight Flashlight does not only provide a service to help our men and women that protect us everyday but, it also provides a peace of mind to us that we were able to purchase a high quality flashlight for our family. ... show more

I purchased this in Oct of 2023; so, it's been less than a year. Regarding the actual flashlight: it's not a daily user & it hangs in my garage between uses. That being said, I'd say this flashlight itself is outstanding & Id give it 5 stars if not for the following issue: The rubber hexagonal ring around the for end just decided to surrender ... & one day when I went out to use it; the ring had split completely thru. This may seem insignificant, but for two reasons I believe it's meaningful: (1) that rubber hex-ring stopped the flashlight from rolling away when placed on a flat surface. (2) if this rubber hex-ring was made of such inferior materials (to not last a year; with minimal use) . . . which of the flashlights internal materials are similarly made. I did attempt to submit feedback directly to Streamlight (on their website); however, I wasn't able to find a location to submit feedback. So, if you can do w/out the rubber hex; it's an outstanding flashlight. Hope this is helpful . . . ... show more
