I got a stove that is kind of level, without a back console for the electricity and the oven buttons. It's a gas stove, and our existing gas fitting is located higher up on the wall than the space for it on the stove, which is much closer to the floor, so the stove sticks out a bit. I thought I would have to get something specially made for the space if I wanted to put a shelf between the back of the stove and the wall. Not so! This magnetic shelf sticks to the back of the stove and fits perfectly in the space. The magnets seem strong enough to hold the shelf in place (there's a little lip at the back for the edge to sit on) and I can put lightweight spices and condiments on the shelf. I love this idea. It's a great extra shelf! I thought it would block the gap behind my stove, but it's a little short. Also apparently my stove is curved so it doesn't fit tightly, but I love that it's easy to clean, big enough to hold whatever I want, it's really sturdy, and won't slip.
