I wish I had read more reviews on this item before making the purchase which I very much regret. Putting the Ottoman together was easy enough except one of the entry points for the legs is broken so the leg just spun and spun. We think we will be able to find a way to permanently fasten the leg to the bench, but for now it is a balancing act that makes the ottoman completely useless. The top of the bench does not close completely one side, which makes ottoman look junky and worn out. Despite being wrapped in plastic, and shipped in a box, the ottoman had brown stains in multiple places. The attached picture is one of the lighter, smaller ones as it didn't occur to me to take pictures to warn other shoppers until I used soap and water to remove most of the stains. I know some people have had good luck with this purchase, but I am very disappointed. We are going to try to repair it, which is frustrating because it was purchased brand new, but I suspect it will go in the trash.

Update 8/8- I had not realized until I looked in my messages that the seller had reached out to me shortly after my initial review. I just finally responded to them and they refunded my acct due to the issues I experienced. For this Ive updated my review from 3 stars based on the fine customer support in reaching out and resolving. As my initial review indicated I was not totally displeased with the item, just with the frustration I dealt with on the one I got. Overall my daughter is quite happy with the product. *original review: I do like overall, but couldn’t give a 5 due to quality or inspection issues prior to inspection. It took me a lot longer than it should’ve to put together because a staple was wedged inside one of the threaded holes, and another hole I had to run a tap through. I couldn’t see the issue with the staple until I magnified the hole. So definitely worth checking all the holes carefully prior to trying to put together. The seat is comfortable enough for it’s purpose, but one of the hinges for the seat catches as you are operating, I don’t anticipate my daughter opening and closing that often so not a huge deal, I hope.

Looks fantastic at the end of my bed and I love having somewhere to sit to put shoes. It holds a lot in the storage area and is very sturdy but still quite soft and comfortable. Love it!

It is nice, but the actual product was way darker than the picture. I was expecting a lighter grey and it was almost black. Also, I did pay attention to measurements but it is smaller than I was anticipating as well. It will still work for the space we need it but just not 100% happy with it. I should have waited to purchase as well, since price dropped significantly. Not bad for the price, just not all I thought it would be.
