Because the NP-FW50 battery discharges so quickly (especially when shooting video), I like to keep a fleet of fully charged cells in my camera bag. While the Sony-branded NP-FW50 cells are excellent, I've had no problems using aftermarket batteries. So, I carry some OEM batteries, but have no worries about relying on third-party cells, even for important, critical assignments. These batteries work perfectly, which was what I expected. They charge in my various Sony and third-party chargers, and they provide roughly an hour and a half shooting time before they need to be recharged. That compares well with the original OEM batteries. I like that they are rated at 1500 milliamps; some of my other non-Sony cells are only rated to 1000 or 1200 milliamps. I can't say what the service life will be, because I've only begun using them. But I have had good results with other third-party NP-FW50 cells, so I expect I will get several years of use from this pair. There is no excuse for running out of battery power on a major shoot, and these help ensure I will never experience that problem.

I have been using these in my camera bag for a few months now, alongside some NEEWER brand and Sony brand batteries. I have a Sony a7ii and a6100. I do not notice much difference between these and the name brand batteries. They charge up fine, and last about as long as the others (which, let’s be honest, with the Sony a7ii is not very long regardless of brand!) I would probably purchase again and save money over the brand names.

Sony batteries are EXPENSIVE!! We have our A5100 that takes these. Our E-PZ format is ideal when we don't want to take our much bigger A7 series Pro rigs. These batteries are a life saver. With zoom optics installed, the camera will eat up batteries like there's no tomorrow. Since the batteries are about half the size of our other Sony cameras, we need more of them when shooting videos or using bigger motorized zoom lenses. They fit, work and recharge perfectly!! Don't think about it, just get them. They will not work any differently than OEM batteries!

I ordered this 2-pack for my Sony A7R and A7R II, and I’ve been very impressed. These batteries perform just as well as the original Sony batteries and are actually better than most other aftermarket brands I’ve tested in the past. They charge without any issues and hold their charge well during long shoots. I typically use a battery grip that holds two batteries, and these fit perfectly into both the camera body and the grip. They have a high-quality feel and a build that is very similar to the original Sony units. There’s no sticking or loose fitment, which is often a concern with third-party batteries. These cameras can be power-hungry, so having extra batteries on hand is a necessity. These have proven to be reliable spares that I can trust when I'm out in the field. If you need quality replacements or extra spares for your Sony Alpha cameras, I highly recommend these. They are a dependable, budget-friendly alternative that doesn't sacrifice performance.

I love being able to write "better than the OEM" in a review. It shows that accessory companies are pushing the quality and value of their products to be more than just a crappy replacement if you broke or lost the original. I'd love to say that these work as well as the original, but I can't: they work BETTER than the original. By a LOT. The original OEM battery capacity is 1020maAh. These have a whopping 1500mAh! That is nearly 150% more capacity. And if you know anything about Sony accessories, you also know they way overcharge for them. These battery packs are are FRACTION of what a single OEM pack costs. My camera can't tell the difference...and neither can I except that my camera doesn't die as fast and I didn't break the bank buying battery packs. Highly recommended!
