Description

Challenge your friends to a game of table tennis with your tournament-ready table. Patented, full-length ball storage is integrated into both end aprons for added convenience that you can only get from STIGA. 3D molded plastic corner protectors add safety by preventing scratches and snags, especially for families with small children. A durable 1" thick table top meets ITTF regulations for tournament-level performance. The table top is sanded and UV filled prior to multiple coats of specialty paint and finished with a clear top coat and silk screen striping for a perfectly smooth finish that will last. The classic tournament style H-frame chassis creates maximum stability with heavy-duty steel and black oxide hardware throughout. Two-inch square caster beams and welded steel cross-brace supports between the table legs increase strength and rigidity. A 2.5" profiled steel apron supports the top for even bounce across the entire table top. The white apron is powder coated for a durable finish that will last. Massive 2.5" square legs are made of heavy-gauge steel for a rock solid base. 3.5" leg levelers allow the table to be adjusted on all four corners for a playing surface that is perfectly level, even when the floor is not. Five-inch mag ball-bearing wheels with sport tread allow the table to smoothly roll over almost any surface for maximum transportability. 2 locking wheels keep the table in place for added safety and stability. Self-opening legs automatically deploy when opening or closing the table, adding safety and convenience. When the table is folded, the dual tension safety latch system (red levers), keeps the table locked in place for added security. This table also includes the STIGA Premium Clipper Net and Post Set with a premium cotton blend net, precision tension adjustment, and a spring-activated clip system.

This is a heavy heavy table. Very high quality materials. Instructions very reasonable to follow. Assembly is DEFINITELY a two person job though. Unfortunately, when the table halves are in the upright storage position, the safety tabs that hold the table up also damage the finish. I have scratches on both halves and that's within the first 2 hours of ownership. We purchased a Stiga STS 520 a couple of weeks ago. We love how solid the table is and have played almost every day since we put it together. Unfortunately, despite having arrived without apparent damage (i.e. the box it came in didn't have a single hole or dented place on it), we have 2 significant parts of our table that were damaged. The pre-mounted side rail (see first picture) arrived warped, and most annoyingly, the ping pong ball holder on one end is bent so badly that we can only insert balls on the end 10-15% of either end of this ball holder (see 2nd picture). One of the reason we chose this table over offerings from Butterfly or Joola was this end feature where the balls can be stored. I wrote Stiga customer service in Sweden and asked for replacement parts for these 2 damage pieces, but they just sent me a link of their global distributers. It's a nice table, but since we paid 1000 USD for; I'd expect a little more from their customer service. ... show more

Just purchased and received this table from Amazon. Let me start by saying i know very little about table tennis other than it's fun to play...and having shelled out $1,000 i'm forever calling it table tennis and not ping pong! There are seemingly a million table tennis tables available. I really have/had no clue about any of the differences. Stiga seemed like a very well known brand so I went with this. If you google table tennis reviews there is a guy who also speaks highly of Stiga. Dick's carries Stiga brand and the Stiga web site seems right on. The table arrived in about 1 week and considering that it went from CA to MA that's not too bad! Luckily, the carrier helped me bring the box inside my basement. The box probably weighs 300lbs+ and is huge. No way 2 normal size adults could manage. You need 3. The setup of the table is a bear. There were two of us (adults) but 3 would have helped. While the directions are somewhat clear you really must pay close attention to every single NOTE and HINT. There aren't a ton of pieces so you would think it is a very quick setup. It took us about 4 hours and it was a challenge. Unfortunately, the table's 4 plastic corner protectors smashed upon arrival. So too did one of the side rails that holds balls (see pic). I did call Escalade Sports and they are shipping me replacements for free. If they show up in a reasonable amount of time I'll keep the 5-star rating - shouldn't be a big deal. Ok, so now for the good... The table is fantastic. LIke you would expect at any table tennis hall (is there such a thing??). Regulation size, heavy duty, folds extremely easily (i've done it twice). The ball holder (that works) is great and I bought a pack of 38 stiga 1-star balls and it all works great. Very convenient. The net is fantastic too. Like a great tennis net. You can only appreciate this if you have played with a crappy net. We keep saying to ourselves that we are so glad we bought this table and a table tennis table versus a pool table. Why?? Because you can play a 5 minute table tennis game - no setup required. In closing, i really can't compare this table to others i've played because I really can't remember playing elsewhere. I believe you do get what you paid for so shelling out a grand for a very sturdy and high quality table seemed fine by me. Just received this tennis table from Amazon. It’s a very heavy table and would be delivered fully assembled. It took us more than 2 hours to assemble. It came with a lot of damages. The ball storage is bent and it’s absolutely impossible to use it. Two corner protectors are broken as well. The retention clips that hold the table upright damage the top surface every time when you open it. ... show more

Looks like a pretty good table. I had a much delayed delivery but eventually had the table delivered and professionally assembled. My main disappointment is that the 2 table surfaces are uneven.

solid tabel! should last a very long time! I am a do it yourself guy but you will need 2 people for sure to put it together. I used Amazon labor and had them do it! Took them 3 hours!
