My cousin is a welder by trade. He typically does these my RC projects but with much bigger capacity setup…haha. I have interested for sometime to get a setup like this to tide of interest. So here I am. Work and life has gotten in the way of My RV hobby life. Been waiting for opportunity to start in this stick welder. What I can tell you, is this a good learning tool for small hobbies and little fixes. Very nice sturdy build. My cousin messed with for a bit to test it out. Overall a very nice functional unit. Easy to use, simple functions but with big results. Good affordability value, small compact and good power house for is size and performance value.

My husband has been wanting to learn how to weld so I ordered this welder for him. He seems to be pretty satisfied with it and has spent a good amount of time learning and playing around with it. So far, no complaints.

This bestarc 200A Stick Welder / ARC200 9GEN 110V/220V Dual Voltage / ARC/Lift TIG Welding Machine is "an okay starter welding machine." Seems well-built, solid and has a small foot-print. Good for light to medium welding work. As the AMZN write-up reflects: "110/220V Dual-Voltage: The stick welding machine supports 110/220V dual voltage and automatically detects input voltage which enables the welder to work in different power environments." STICK WELDING uses various rods (i.e., electrodes). Recommended rod types are 6010, 6011, 6013, and 7018. THIS WELDING MACHINE ALSO HAS A 140A TIG WELDING FUNCTION CAPABILITY; A TIG17V TIG TORCH NEEDS TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding uses a tungsten metal rod to fuse two metals together. TIG welding - more control & precision; works better with thinner materials; and, produces cleaner welds thus less after-weld "finishing" required. MIG welding is easier, quicker and better at joining thicker materials. MIG welding uses a feed wire through a type of "spool-gun" to weld two metals together.

This is a very nice welder for the occasional light duty welds. It is great for a home owner or a hobbyist! It is small, compact, easy to use & store. At 125 Volts it can be plugged anywhere and does all your light duty welds well. You also have the option to connect it to 220 Volts for more powerful, thicker gauge welding. It is surprising capable for it's compact size. It is very transportable and it includes everything minus the helmet and rods. It is very easy to use! While some basic welding knowledge is required, it is very easy and this is the perfect welder in case you want to start and learn basic welding. A very good addition to any home garage or a hobbyist!

This is a great little welder for small projects. It is lightweight and easy to use. My husband loves having it for the rare occasion we needed something welded. It comes with everything needed to get started. The display is bright and easy to see. It heats quickly but doesn't overheat, even after using it for half an hour.

This machine looks great. The screen is one of the best and easy to set and read thats I've worked with. The wiring is heavy duty and everything seems great till you use it. Everything was set up and connected with good contact but I kept having to increase the amps as the tiny rod I was using kept sticking and not working. At maximum this was still an issue so I switched to my other machine and it cooked the same rod at the same amperage showing that this machine displays one amperage but produces much less. Save your money.
