UPDATED: I'm changing my review from 1 start to 5. These are awesome bins and I'm very happy I was able to find them here on Amazon. Originally I got them on the shelf at Target but they are no longer available there. My original two bins withstood much abuse and lasted several years. I use these to securely and safely transport live snakes, even as large as 25 pounds (almost filling the bin completely). Latched down, the snakes cannot escape which is perfect when you need to take them to the vet and don't want to risk having a snake getting loose while you are driving. Sadly one of the bins in my original order arrived cracked in the bottom making it unusable for my purposes. Blame it on the shipping company...these bins are strong and sturdy but will crack if they are dropped or smacked about, as any clear bin would. The seller was more than helpful, quickly sending a replacement, then another replacement when the replacement arrived damaged as well. So love the bins, love the seller, but need a little improvement in the shipping/delivery. _____________________________________________ Love these bins. No longer could purchase off shelf but was so happy to find them on Amazon. Ordered a 4 pack, but the bottom one arrived so cracked it's totally unusable! There was absolutely no packing material in the box so I'm not surprised. These are very sturdy bins, but they will crack if they are dropped. I'm very disappointed as I needed these for transporting live animals, and the six latches make them very safe and secure. I'm initiating a return so I can repurchase them again. Hopefully getting what I paid for next time.....four UNDAMAGED latching bins.

Does the job, but one of the four bins arrived completely cracked. They arrived on moving day, so I had to use the other three, which were fine. Disappointed with Amazon for not allowing an option to have one replaced if its broken. Not great customer service. Edit: I talked to someone on the phone, and she is replacing the broken bin. Thank you! I revised my rating. The bins are exactly what I needed.

I purchased this at full price, and did not receive any special discount/incentive in exchange for my review. I love Sterilite products - they’re well-made & sturdy, use high-quality materials, don’t yellow, and stack easily. The gasket box is one of my favorites, and provides extra protection from dust, moisture, and insects/rodents. I use these for storing fabric, photo albums, and out-of-season clothing in my basement. Over the years, we’ve had mice, the occasional insect, and water - this gasket box has come through like a champ, with none of the contents becoming damaged. Highly recommend.

The totes are fantastic-big and securely sealed. My issue was with customer service. One of the lids was cracked at the locking clasp. I contacted them to ask for a new lid. They did offer a complete return but then I would have had to empty the totes and return them all just to replace a lid. Not to mention that the huge box they came in was already at the recycling center. I asked multiple times if they could just send me one new lid but they said all had to be returned in order to get a new lid because they can't just send a lid. They offered to have me keep the totes and they would give me a $22 discount which is what I ended up doing. But I wish they would have just sent me a new lid. When you are using these totes for storage, a tote without a lid is useless.

These bins are an excellent size, they close very securely, they are stable when stacked up and being able to see the items stored inside is so convenient! I won’t hesitate to purchase more in the future. I did have some issues in shipping as other users have mentioned- one bin out of the 8 had a top corner cracked and broken off when it arrived. I contacted customer service, they replied almost immediately and compensated me for the damaged item. Grateful for the amazing customer support!

These gasket boxes are the best we've found -- others of this size are too thin and brittle. But the other great design features are the square shape, which perfectly holds papers to be filed; the clear plastic, which allows contents to be visible; and the heavy-duty, well designed latches. We've bought these repeatedly for business records storage.
