Honestly, I was scared this was going to be too big to fit in any of the rooms but it is perfect for the living room. I originally wanted to put this in my toddler's bedroom but it was too big and I don't like to have toys in the living room, especially one with so many pieces, but my toddler is learning to keep the toys in one area (most of the time). She turns 2 in a couple of days and we brought this set for her birthday as an early gift and she loves it. We usually watch tv in the living room and she will play with her set and sometimes come watch tv with us. This is a good distraction for her so she doesn't watch too much tv, even when it's on. Also she is learning many of the food names that it comes with such as grapes, celery, pizza, etc. She has fun playing with the set and ever since we brought it (like a week ago), she has not been playing with any of her other toys. The setup was fairly simple if you have at least 2 people it is better. I took me and my dad about an hour and half to set everything up with a power drill. But if you don't have a drill it will take MUCH longer. Also you will need a hammer in the beginning where you have to screw this plastic black screw. The instructions say to use your hands but it's basically impossible to get it in without a hammer. Also one of the sticker pages was missing so I will have to contact the company for the labels. A lot of the reviews say that there is not enough space to store all the food but there actually is. I made extra cabinet space with boxes, contact paper, and velcro, like one of the reviewers recommended but it's really unnecessary for younger toddlers since they will make a mess regardless and they don't have the ability to organize while cleaning. I recommend just using a box or shopping bag to put all of the extra accessories and plastic foods so at the end of the day, you can just teach your toddler to put everything in one place rather than confusing them about where everything goes. Wow.....You should have seen the faces on my two granddaughters on Christmas Eve when they saw this in their playroom. They absolutely love it and have cooked up some unbelievable meals. The kids think this is awesome and they play until you literally have to drag them out of it. They have dreamed up more scenarios of cooking than I would have ever though was possible. The kitchen went together quite easily. I did make a mistake on the microwave. There is a plastic piece that you screw on next to the microwave door. I didn't screw it on straight. Figured it wouldn't matter. I finished up and then placed the stickers on it. After placing the stickers I went to open and close the microwave door. The piece I put on did make it so you really needed to push the door to close it all the way. However, it did close enough that none of the kids seem to even notice it. I couldn't fix it without damaging the sticker. Other than that, the stickers were the hardest part as it is for most items. Just getting them on straight was the problem. The ones that go over the arches are the biggest and the hardest to get centered. The kitchen comes with so many pieces. Great for the kids but no where to put them all. I just pile them in a small canvas tote and let the girls grab what they need. It was really neat to see all the different items that came with it. Pretty impressive. The kids would have been thrilled with just half as many. The quality of these items is impressive also. In fact the quality of the entire kitchen is top notch. There is really nothing that can be broken. It would be nice if there was more storage space for that you get but like I said earlier, I use a canvas tote and they just grab what they want to play with. We are happy we got this and the girls look forward to coming over to play in it. Win/win. ... show more

I purchased this for my wife's daycare and the children love it. It is a large size and at least two toddlers can be in the kitchen at a time. It did take me about a total of 4 hours to put it together and put on the stickers. I really like the Step 2 products and it really has an excellent value for the money that we purchased for. I am a 56 year old man and it had easy instructions and was fairly simple to assemble. My wife's children are going to love this product for years to come. ... show more

Loved this play kitchen. It was not the easiest to put together but I did do it by myself. Came with a lot of accessories and didn’t have to buy an additional accessories. Half of the stickers didn’t get added because I felt like it could have came already on it that’s why I give it 4 stars and not 5. Looks great and holds up to a 3 year old wild child. Best kitchen ever!!! First thank you Amazon for giving me a great price on this kitchen. I looked at every store and around Christmas it was hard to find a good price. I watched my hubby put it together (cause I wanted it to come out right lol) and it only took about an hour to put together. I was thinking it was gonna take 4-5 hours or more cause of the reviews I read saying that's how long it took a few people. So that kinda worried me and the fact that it came in 2 boxes I didn't think we would have enough time to get it put together..but like I said it was only around an hour. No pieces were damaged. Everything came in perfect condition. Granted the boxes were dented in the corners a bit but that was nothing. I have 4 kids 14,11,10,and 2 and the kids voluntarily played with him in the kitchen..of course the older kids had to sit but they loved seeing how happy he was with the toy. My nieces go straight for the play kitchen when they come over. Its a hit for all kids. Best part it comes with 101 piece set which includes food and pots and pans and some utensils.I highly recommend.. ... show more

This comes in two boxes. I received one. I called customer service and they sent another set right away. Easy instructions. I put it together right away. My granddaughter loves it and plays with it everyday. It comes with pots and pretend fruits and veggies, even hot dogs and a hamburger for the grill part. The sounds for the grill and burner are so realistic. She is 13 months old and pretends like she is cooking and grilling. So fun to watch her having fun. Worth every penny! ... show more

Overall I give this 5 stars. We bought this for our 2.5 year old for Christmas. She absolutely loves it and has been "cooking" in it every day. It is very sturdy, so I see this being passed down to her little sister (who right now is only 3 months old). Assembly took about an hour, not hard to complete, but a little frustrating that there were not already holes for the screws. My only legitimate complaint would be the storage space. Technically there is enough "room" to store every thing, but only if you want to cram it all in. I'm sure there is a way to fit it all perfectly, but that means clean up will take a lot longer to figure out the "puzzle", if that makes sense. Anyway, my easy solution was to have an extra bin handy to keep the food items in. Major plus though was the mat that she stands on... I would like to find enough of those mats and redo my kitchen floor with them! So comfortable! ... show more
