The media could not be loaded. There are some fun and challenging to assemble STEM projects in this 5-project kit. It states on the box it is for age 6+. It states in the online ads of ages 6-14 and 8-12. I think this was a little to challenging to assemble for my 6 year old. My 8 year old did better with assembly but still needed my help, mainly because the pieces were so small. She was having a hard time getting the super tiny screws to line up with the super tiny brackets then into the super tiny holes. So it took me to take over and at least get things aligned for her to screw them in or hold the pieces steady so she could screw them in. I attached a photo of two pieces for one of the kits, which is a bracket and a screw placed on the pad of my finger. We assmebled the dancing crab. It has some holed pieces for connecting components and then it uses zip ties for the legs which are not reusable. We messed up on the alignment for 3 of the zip ties and needed 12 of them. Luckily they gave us 15 ties so we had enough. However, we cannot take it apart and rebuild it again unless I buy some zip ties from somewhere. I'm not complaining about purchasing zip ties. My issue is that all components for a kit like this should be reusable. Also, just as a quick note for this dancing crab project, it has a spinning knob at the front which purposely makes it shake so the crab can dance on the cut zip ties. Sounds confusing I know, but I've added a video of our completed project at the end of the unboxing vid. Anyhow, that spinning knob at the front can really pop a 6-year old kids finger. They'll probably learn quick not to touch the front of it. Not that it will cut or bruise them but it'll give their little finger a little pop. Overall, I do like this product. The pieces and technicality of the kit are a little too tough for our 6-year old. The fine motor skills of the hands of our 8 year old and her patience to carefully align a few tiny objects into tiny objects were tested and she really struggled. It's not that it can't be done, but as a parent be ready to jump in for an assist to at least hold and align parts. They really are not one-person projects and you better look close at those instructional pictures to see and count how many holes you have to be at to align items correctly. Bring your magnifying glasses if you have them. Be patient, take your time with it and have fun with the process. ... show more

    • Intuitive and creativity inspiring
My 8year old son loved this. He made the first bit according to instructions but after investigating how each robotic part worked he started creating his own robots and machines. I was really impressed with how interchangeable the parts were and how independently he played with it- for hours!

Nice activity for a fun family night. My 8 yrs old kid needed lots of help doing hers but my 10 yrs kid did it by herself. Few of them needed more detailed instructions. Good quality but the remote control broke right after it fell off on the ground.

Well, the box came for a Christmas present and it is really small. I gave it a 3 only because in order to be 5 /6 robotic they have to be really small. My fault for not looking at size. We will see.
