The media could not be loaded. I really did want to give this toy a five-star review but I couldn't and let me tell you why. Both my seven and my 9-year-old son and I are pretty avid Builders especially with Legos and utilizing coding to make them move Etc. I decided based on the age recommendation for this to be a better project for my 9-year-old to try with my help. He selected the robot version to assemble. It comes with a book which is similar to what you would expect with a typical build set, however a good chunk of it is in a non English language as well as English. The instructions first failed to distinguish where to start for each different build as you have three options to make. I didn't realize it until we got the box but one of the options for a build is labeled meat shield tank which is probably a language translation error but is super inappropriate for a toy to be named. It seems to be corrected in the online description. We finally figured out if the steps start with A that is the robot, B is I think the tank and c is the other version. I posted some pictures of the parts and this is my biggest issue with the product. Multiple parts for the build look almost identical but are two completely different parts. There are like 4 sets of twins in this build. I challenge you to look at them closely and if you don't see a difference this set is probably not for you. I would definitely separate these pieces beforehand to avoid getting halfway through a build and realizing you use the wrong piece and having to go back. In addition, don't accidentally use 1 piece instead of the other because, 1. most likely there is not a spare piece and 2. a couple of times this happened and we had to get out pliers to separate them. On the different rods it does give you a measurement tool and I highly encourage you to use that as we made a mistake a few times by not double checking as they are very close in size. Another small issue is that the print on the booklet is a bit smaller than what most are used to and with the similar looking parts we actually had to get out a magnifying glass just to make sure we were getting the right part for the right step. Please just make the parts a different color! So much easier. Even after about 2 hours of work and my 9-year-old giving up for the night we were only about half done. The next day it took about another 3 hours for us to finish. We also had trouble putting on one of the middle "eyeballs" and the design the hold in this piece was not the best design. Lastly, the most heartbreaking part was when we finally finished, we realized 1 of the track pieces to the product was broken where it connects. We were able to get it together for a short time to make the video, however, within about 5 mins, that track stopped working. When all 3 builds require this section and you give NO spare parts for such an important piece, that is disappointing.
