  • A fun activity to do with kids
I got this to give my grandkids something to do besides being on their electronics. This was a hit with my 7 year old grandson and 14 year old granddaughter. The kit came with everything you need but you do need to provide to double A batteries. The srewdrivers were hard for me as adult to use and the sharp plastic on the end hurt my hand. The directions are pictures and easy enough for my 7 year old to follow. Written directions would of be nice for us older ones as I had a little trouble understanding what went where with just the pictures. The screws were a little hard for my 7 year old to use because they are small so I started the screw and he was then able to finish screwing it in. The wires that go on the mechanical piece were a little hard to get threaded in. In all it was a fun activity with a reward of seeing it built and watching it go. A fun kit no matter the age. A great gift for any child ... show more

  • Very fun kit!
I loved how organized this kit is! Each project is packed individually with it's own instructions. I love that I didn't need to search through one bag full of materials to find the things I need as it's already separated out for you! Even though the kit says it is for ages 7 and up, I worked on this with my 4 year old. My 4 year old is very interested in robots and building things in general. He also reads really well for his age so I let him read the instructions and have him tell me what the next steps are. The instructions are understandable for the most part with pictures as examples (thank goodness!). We built a few of them already and my 4 year old gets so happy when he sees the robot working after the hard work =) ... show more

  • Great Educational Toy
This is a fun pack of STEM robots. It is a fantastic educational kit. It is clear that whoever made it put a lot of thought into the design. There are clear, picture-heavy instructions, making it ideal for older kids who have a keen interest in how things work. While younger children may require significant adult assistance due to the intricate steps involved, this can create a great opportunity for bonding and hands-on learning. The kit comes well-organized, with each project individually bagged and complete with all necessary parts, enabling a smooth and rewarding assembly experience. Beyond just being a fun activity, the kit subtly introduces basic engineering and robotics concepts, making learning engaging and enjoyable. The sturdy materials and functionality of the robots add to the value. And although you’ll need a good supply of AA batteries for this project, the joy and educational benefits far outweigh this small inconvenience. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for sparking curiosity and creativity in kids, making it a worthwhile investment for both play and learning. ... show more

  • This has a lot of good lessons in a variety of subjects.
First, I will disagree with the ages suggested for this kit. Our 7, 8, and 9 year olds were not very interested. This could be just these kids. But among the older children, it was a great hit. I think if your child is very interested in how things work, this would be perfect as a gift for them. For the younger children, you or another adult will have to closely guide and supervise all the work. An older child could put these kits together with very little trouble or help. That being said, all parts to every kit were there. Each kit worked the way they should have and all the children were delighted with the finished products. There is still the thought that they can take the kits apart and assemble something from their own imagination. You will need a good number of AA batteries so get them before you start to lessen the disappointment on their little faces. They materials were sturdy and the instructions were very clear. Quite happy with this kit. ... show more

  • Fun!
I got this for my nephew who has been into snapcircus and robots lately. He really enjoyed putting these together and we both appreciated that 1)all the pieces were separated into individual projects and 2) you could build them each individually without having to take apart one project to make another. I dont know why but I was thinking when we were done making the projects we could then make our own, but you cant. That was a downer for both of us. Other than that its a nice fun set. ... show more

  • Fun but takes a lot of adult help
I would say this is good to play for maybe 12 and older children by themselves. Younger than that and there is going to need to be adult help on most of the steps. It is nice that they have the parts separated when you open it, but they are not marked which made it hard to know which was going to build what. Not bad if you plan to help your younger kid the entire time. ... show more

  • Definitely for older kids with parental assistance
These are really cool little projects to get the kids to mentally understand to follow precise instructions and also to use tools to build. However, the attention to detail that is required seems to be beyond a child's ability. As an adult, I had to double and triple check certain steps. I was building this with a 5 year old, which is well below the minimum age requirement suggested, but even at such a young age she learned a lot and was extremely excited to see the end result. I did 99% of the building. My daughter plays with these little gadgets everyday and has already managed to break one. But that's the fun of it. At the $13 price with the discount, it's a learning experience worth buying for any child. ... show more

  • A Fun and Sneaky Way to Learn
I have a lively bunch of nephews and nieces, and they were thrilled to have this set to play with. What they didn't expect was that while having fun, they were also delving into science and robotics! How awesome is that? It'll surely enhance their learning journey as they progress through school, equipping them with skills applicable to various projects. My only gripe is the marketing's focus on "boys" without acknowledging "girls." The rundown ... Quality -- Made well, looks and is fun. 5/5 Utility -- Everything works great. 5/5 Parity -- The price seems right on point. 5/5 ... show more
