The Stellar X2 Vintage exceeded my expectations for voice over/ on air work . After going through dozens of sound reviews, I decided to buy this model. I knew it was very balanced in all frequencies, but I didn't expect such a "velvety" upper frequency sound. I have a Neumann TLM 103, Lewitt LCT 440, and a Rode NT1A, , but the Stellar X2 Vintage is in a class of its own -delivering wonderful results with that one-of-a -kind high sound that is clear, soft and pleasing to the human ear. By far one of the best values in its price range...Honestly, I would pay even more for this microphone.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical of this mic at first since I'd never heard of the brand but after spending time with it my fears were quelled. I used it to record vocals for a podcast as well as miked an acoustic guitar and both recordings had clarity and depth. It's nice they include all of the accessories too. I reached out to the company to ask a question and they were very responsive. Their website is legit too. These cats are trying to do things right and you should give this mic a chance. It'll be a good addition to any audiophile's mic locker.

The sound quality is outstanding. While very different from a Shure SM7B (the only other mic I’m very familiar with), I find it preferable for voice overs for my tenor, sibilant voice, and also find it nice that 48v phantom power is sufficient - no need for a CloudLifter. Side address is slightly trickier than direct address, but manageable. I do think buying an additional wind screen is useful for knocking down plosives which still seem a problem, even with the included windscreen - although perhaps this could be managed with better technique.

Wow what a Excellent Mic for this price! It sounds very Professional and dont need much editing to make recordings fit in the Mix and sound sweet, warm and records the sound as it is with very low noise! Well done Stellar!

I am a vo guy and have had $1000 mics and $100 mics. For my baritone voice type, the Vintage version has that little forward punch that just sounds good to me. Using it with Scarlett Solo and it is just what I needed! Nice box and shock mount. A great value for the money.. and for more money!

This is an amazing microphone for the money. I have a home studio and this microphone matches up with almost any microphone you can buy. It doesn’t have a lot of features, but that’s not a bad thing depending on what your use case is.
