These are amazing for spacing your decks floor boards. There are other ways but being metal they dont deform over time for perfect spacing. The best part about them is they have holes to place the screws that are evenly spaced. No trying to align you screws by eye. I bought three of them because we were using 16 foot boards so that we could place one at each end and one in the middle. Using 6 of these, the deck stayed 100% spaced over the full build (stopped and measured maybe 3 times), and the screw lines and spacing look perfect. Built a deck, 14x16 out of composite planking. Used these Plank Rite Steel Deck Spacing and Fastening Tools (2 pack) for board spacing and to maintain a clean screw pattern as each plank was laid. I used these installing a pressure treated wood deck. I bought separate spacers as I needed like 8 per board but I used this to make sure my screws were all lined up nice a neatly. It worked perfectly. Recommend buying.
