I use these to string between trees to then hang lights on above my fire pit so that they are more sturdy in the wind and don't sag as much. The wire is heavy-duty and looks like it will last for years! This way I can keep it up year-round while just taking down the lights during the winter. It makes seasonal change very simple that way. Got this to use for several projects around the house: Pros: -Comes with everything you need (except wire cutters) -Wide variety of clips, anchors, and hooks to connect the wire for different uses -Cable comes with a plastic cover for added weatherproofing and protection Cons: -Some of the clips feel pretty flimsy Some state in the reviews that it may not be stainless steel because it's magnetic, but some stainless steel IS magnetic, depending on whether or not it has iron. I have no way of scientifically verifying the composition of the metal, but hopefully it is stainless steel, as many of my projects are outdoors and I don't want to deal with rust. ... show more

I'm hanging some string lights, and this cable set looked like it had just about everything I needed for the job. For that purpose, it's great. Everything from the stainless carabiners and turnbuckles to the thimbles and clamps are there to complete the job. My one issue is that the product listing calls this 1/8" cable, but if you read the description in the photos, you'll find that the 1/8" (3mm) is actually the outside diameter of the vinyl coating. The cable itself is only 2mm. Granted, you should be making your selection based on the load rating of the cable regardless of diameter, but if you've already done your homework to find out that 3mm cable is what you need, then this isn't it. ... show more

This stainless steel cable set comes with everything you need to start your project (except tools). The turn buckles are especially useful for making a clothesline. It's difficult but not impossible to cut through the cable with regular wire cutters. I don't have the hand strength for crimping so I used a hammer, gently, and that seems to have worked out well. The clothesline is up and handled a couple heavy, sopping wet blankets without failing. It'll hold up well for regular spun-out laundry. Also made a trash can tie-down so they don't blow away in the wind. It's a lot of wire and will be handy to have around the house for some time to come. ... show more

This stainless steel cable kit is a great value! I ordered it because it has everything needed to string and fasten cable for any application that I can think of on our farm. I am impressed with the quality of the hardware, it’s all stainless steel construction and built to last. The cable is advertised as 1/8 inch diameter, I measured it at 0.122" which matches so I got what I ordered. My first project using this cable kit was a cable gate and it worked perfectly. I sunk a wood fence post on each side of our farm road, fastened in one of the eye hooks from this kit on each post, used a crimp connector to secure one end of the cable to the eye hook and used another crimp connector to fasten the other end of the cable to one of the carabiners and bingo we have a cable gate.
