The media could not be loaded. Loved this design was even better in person this is probably the most utilitarian landing pad on the market for the DJI Mini 4 drones as shown here. It has around 10 different color modes ranging from strobe to solid to multi-color battery life is excellent have yet to re-charge it and best of all it is STURDY and Foldable/collapsible into a folder size perfect for the Mini-series of drones built on capability and rapid deployment abroad. Looks EXCELLENT at night! Don't waste time or money on other pads this one really is worth every cent!

The media could not be loaded. The most important reason for using a landing pad is to avoid damaging the gimbal by landing the aircraft on an uneven (and sometimes messy) surface like tall grass, rough terrain, dirt, sand, etc. If you follow my reviews, you know that I do a lot of drone stuff. I am an avid drone enthusiast, with many drones and quadcopters. My newest drone, the DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro does something I didn't anticipate. When you're shooting video with it, it automatically turns off it's status lights (the flashing lights at the ends of the rotor arms that let you know it's operating status and also help you see the drone in the dark. Another problem with night flying is being able to identify your landing pad in the dark. Years ago, I designed a folding landing pad that had LED's around the perimeter. It worked well. It was made of wood, hinged is such a way that it folded down to 1/4th of its open size. I used it a lot, for both day and night flights. Now, STARTRC has improved on the design, making it out of folding cardboard reinforced waterproof vinyl, with a neon-like fiber around the circumference. It doesn't light up very brightly. But, enough to spot it with the drone's onboard camera, even from high altitudes. It's compact and light weight. The built in rechargeable battery lasts for hours. It has several modes and colors, making it easier for you to spot. It comes complete with a charging cable and four anchoring stakes. Designed with the DJI Mini series in mind, it works for any small quadcopter. And, as you can see in one of my pics, it will work for larger quads as well, if you're really good at landing. I really like this STARTRC product and am happy to give it 5 stars.

Instructions are poorly written and had to be written by a Chinese person with poor command of English. Since this product is made in China, I have to assume the instructions were written there. If not, I apologize. BTW to toggle through the various light settings, the landing pad has to be unplugged from the USB Charging port. (NOT MENTIONED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS). Otherwise, my landing pad lights don't work.

About a month ago I almost lost my drone flying at sunset time. It came dark and I was out of battery. I decided to land manually and not using the automatic landing system because battery was done. I couln't recognize where I was and was not able to see my location from the air so the drone landed alone and I lost it. I started walking as a crazy man and finally I recognized big palm and was able to find it when I thought I lost it. So at that time I thought I should use a light to know where to land next time and I found the StartRC landing pad with leds!!! This is a great landing pad, visibile from the air when it's dark and it's very very well built . I uses a C type usb to be charge and have a variety of nice vibrant colors to choose from. It's brilliant and easy to find and will let me fly and forget about not finding my location in case I don't use the return to home. A most have for flying during dark hours. I recommend this product to all drone pilots 100%. Can save you a lot of money having this landing pad with led.

This company makes the best drone accessories available. This landing pad is the best of all of my landing pads, which are StartRc by the way. Great for flying at night. Different colors make it extra fun. It uses a usb c charger and has a very long battery life. Large size. It fits my Dji Air 3. I would definitely recommend. The price isn't bad either.

Why not show off a little bit in the dark plus you can see where you're Landing if you're flying night flights why not it looks cool and it can be useful at the same time hasn't giving me any problems I haven't used it at night yet but if I ever choose to I got it

The quality is fantastic. The lighting modes are hard to choose from because they're all so great. When flying in low light conditions, I just told my camera down and I can easily see the landing pad. The stakes help keep it in the grass so now I can take off and land without finding a concrete or other flat surface.... just bring my own flat surface.

The landing pad is really well made and made of quality material, not cheap and flimsy. You can rotate through different colors of lights and pick your favorite and it really comes in handy when flying in low light or in the dark. Highly recommend this great landing pad.
