This desk mount monitor arm enables you to mount and raise a monitor with a maximum screen size of 32"" (16:9) or 49"" (32:9) ultrawide. Its solid steel construction allows this monitor arm to support up to 17.6lb (8kg) with two mounting options (C-Clamp or Grommet mount) to securely attach your monitor to your desk. I like reading the manual when putting things together and this is the first time it failed me. My recommendation. Don't read the instructions. I stripped the screw on the first step of the manual. Luckily I didn't actually have to touch it. IDK why the manual said to mess with it. Maybe I missed something, but yeah. I used the monitor arm for the Samsung Odyssey G9 and it holds. However, the hex key is so little that it hurts my hand whenever the monitor starts to sag and I need to retighten it. It is starting to strip as well. The range of motion is subpar. It's either left or right. No up or down. It does go forward and back. ... show more

Except the Tilt Pivot, and the Vertical Pole just too Short. Rest are Good The Tilt Pivot unit designs simply too weak for Heavy Weight Monitors.... I'm using Dell U4919DW.. 25lbs only. There's no spring to regular Stand like regular Monitor Stand. Which gave me a hard time to mount it up properly You need to tension the bolt as much as going to Damage to Ball Clamp . The tension bolt cover damaged since we need much harder than expected. I hope Startech going to design a way much better Tilt Pivot unit. coming ... show more

I looked and looked for which arm is going to hold the weight of my Samsung 49" monitor and this is the only one that I could find at about $101.00 (as of April 2020). It is easy to install and easy to set up. Because of the weight of my screen the arm kept hanging down over time. Like it was slowly sliding down. All I had to do is tighten the bolt of the arm and now it is fixed 100%. It does not come down at all since April to now August. To customize the bottom vertical tube that holds the arm, I wrapped it with a silver carbon fiber wrap which look really good. I hope my review will be helpful for any of you that look for mounting your 49 inch monitor. Also, it does not flush completely with the wall at the back, it is about 3 inch forward. ... show more

I've done a thorough research on monitor ARMs and this one came out to be the most favorable factoring in: price, versatility, positive reviews that confirm my requirements: Macbook pro & Thunderbolt Display. There were a few major surprises: a) i've had to purchase the Apple Adaptor separately. Makes total sense and i felt a bit stupid for missing this given my research. All in all, they could easily make this detail more obvious rather than somehow obfuscating this important detail b) this ARM is not able to lift up & hold 27" Thunderbolt Display as mine, after going through bunch of BS and several days of waiting etc., isn't holding its set height and keeps flipping down on its face. My monitor weighs 21lb which includes the metal adapter i've bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0160BQA06/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've managed to keep the monitor still by tightening every bolt to its max but it does loosen up once in few days and i have to tighten them up again. I did decide to keep this arm simply because i'll be upgrading my monitor later on for UltraWide 4K..besides i don't really have luxury of time to go through the entire process all over again. These are holding my Samsung 28" monitors perfectly. They are strong and allow the movement I desire. One note is that I was hoping to have my monitors lifted off of my desk quite a bit, but because the VESA mount on the monitors is not centered, and is towards the top of the monitor, my monitors ended up being at the same height as before. By flipping them upside down, I have gained the height, but have to deal with issues such as viewing the monitor at angles for which viewing wasn't intended. Ultimately, the setup works, but I wanted to mention this in case someone had the same plan. This comes with the connector/clamp as shown in the picture, but also a second option for mounting. I'm not clear of how that works though. ... show more

I am using this with a 34 inch ultra wide. Bought the mount to get the monitor closer to the edge of my desk. This stand has great adjustment and saved me 10 cm of desk space compared to the original stand that come with my monitor.
